Chapter 27: A tough living

Nyx opened her eyes weakly, she was still on the same spot she had blacked out. She sniffed and slowly rose up from the ground. Her head was throbbing, she looked around, no one was near by.

Her eyes still spun so she stood there for a while so she wouldn't fall down. When she felt she was good to go, she took a step forward.

Her stomach growled and she remembered she hadn't had dinner nor breakfast. Her basket wasn't with her so there was no way she could pick grapes.

She was too weak to walk, but she managed to carry herself.

She managed to walk home, all by herself, trembling as she walked.

She finally got home, her head was still swirling with emotions and thoughts, she didn't want to starve her baby and she also didn't know where to get food from.

She opened her door and went inside, a empty, cold house greeted her.
