Chapter 22: Kitchen
Characters: Ruth and Antoinette
Ruth and Antoinette prepares food for the family.
Antoinette: You have a very nice kitchen. Since I came into this house, I haven't been here.
Ruth: Now you have it. It's also yours. Anything in this house is yours as well. Remember you are now a part of this family.
Antoinette: Many thanks to you and your family for accepting me.
Ruth: It's okay. I want us to prepare some rice. That's what we are having for lunch.
Antoinette: Okay. Sure why not. You are the chef for today.
They both laughed with happiness
Ruth: Please help me get the bag of rice there. (She points at it)
They continued cooking and the dialogue continues
Antoinette: Let me get the dishes from the cabinet.
Ruth: My sister so do you intend moving on with another man?
Antoinette: Please!!!!! Don't remember me of my pain. (She wears a long face) Like I said the other time, I don't want to go through this terror again. At the right time, if I think it's okay for me to move on with another man you will surely know before I even tell you. (She smiles)
Ruth: I'm sorry if I offended you. I'm very sorry my sister.
Antoinette: Don't worry. It's nothing. I just don't want to remember that horrible experience again. I don't want to have anything do with any man anyone.
Ruth: Hmmmmn (She laments on that) don't worry everything will be fine.
Antoinette: I hope so. I wish I had a hardworking and honourable man like your husband.
Ruth: You will get one at the right time.
Few minutes later food is ready.
