Chapter 91: Shaken

The two of them joined in the car, with Leon covering the head of the door for Naia. 

He'd have preferred to sit between her and the young officer who was sending her the googly eyes, but his presence in the middle position would completely block the rear view mirror. 

"What have we gathered so far?" He asked when he saw the policeman steal glances at his Naia.

"Not much. They were groaning in too much pain to answer any questions."

"..." 

Was it just him or was this police officer being snarky at him? 

Anyway, the trip to the hospital was mostly quiet except for the officer—who intimately introduced himself as Grisham Lee—sneaking small talk with Naia, especially when he found out they weren't officially dating. 

This annoyed Leon very much. 

"Just call me Grish, Miss Naia," he said. "So… you live with your friend, Mister Leon here?" 

Naia nodded.
