Chapter 179: Her Vicious Heart

There is a voice that whispers in my ears at night.

The voice says that I will burn.

The voice says that I will suffer.

The voice asks; would it not be better if I were dead?

I find I am in agreement with it.

Vinnandra stared at her maidservant blandly. "Do not tell me you did not send my gifts?"

"I did!" Mona quickly defended herself, "although calling it a gift is too grand if I must say so myself…." She mumbled as she trailed.

"And?" Vinn probed further, finding she did not have the patience for her.

"He didn't receive it directly though. But Master Ryker promised to deliver it." Mona finished sheepishly.

Vinn nodded to herself, that was good enough for her.
