"They are right Astrid, you've to allow them to arrest her." Xander said as he casually strode up to the other man.

The man smiled coolly, "I am glad for your cooperation, nephew," he said, looking anything but glad.

Nephew? Just how many relations did Xander have. And why was it that in the face of what seemed to be her incoming doom, Vinnandra was still calm in the face of the storm.

She should be running away, or doing something like that, but her trust in Xander rooted her in place in Astrid's back.

"But…" Xander interjected quickly, "I must inquire as to the reason why you're making the arrest."

The older man whom Vinn realised was Xander's maternal uncle scoffed lightly. While his expression bore no resentment or anger towards Xander, it wasn't soft either.
