Chapter 60: He Received an Apology from Humans （1）

Seraphina had been in the bath for an excessively long time.

Linden's hearing was somewhat impaired and hadn't fully recovered yet, so he couldn't quite make out what she was doing in the bathroom. Could she have fainted? He lay on the bed, pondering this.

Linden sat up, intending to check on her, but the door opened just as he was about to get up.

Seraphina walked in, looking dejected, holding his bowl—a big round bowl with pictures of puppies on it.

Inside the bowl was some mush with pieces of meat floating in it, whole chunks of meat that looked half-cooked, with red streaks of blood on the surface.

"I made you some food. I... I wanted to make some broth to nourish you," Seraphina said. "But I'm afraid to eat it... I'm sorry."

When he heard her say "I'm afraid to eat it," he couldn't help but laugh.

Seraphina hung her head low. "Maybe I should just take it away. I'll order takeout."
