Chapter 121: 121. Distinguished Guests Arrive

"Mr. Sochuro, you're welcome to come. Your arrival brings great joy to Mr. Grindelwald."

A group of Sochuro and his followers gathered in front of the gate of Père Lachaise's tomb.

"As expected, where is Mr. Grindelwald?" Sochuro asks calmly.

Not everyone has the privilege of being acknowledged by him. This tall, slim old man has a volatile temperament.

"Mr. Grindelwald asked me to escort you there." Abernethy obediently leads the way.

But, due to some error, Abernathy deliberately avoids the direction of Newt and the others, and instead takes a detour to the venue."Hmph! Is this the way the Alliance Party treats guests?" Sochuro follower exclaimed, gesturing towards the door. He turned to the man behind him, a worried look on his face. "Do they expect the most distinguished guest of the Alliance Party to enter through the back door?"

"Tyco——" Sochuro halted the man, preventing him from saying more.

"Uncle! It's not that Tyco doesn't understand etiquette, but these foreigners have gone too far! We are mere guests from afar, and we come with good intentions. Even ordinary passers-by shouldn't be treated in this manner!"

The man seethed with anger, his frustration evident. Abernathy attempted to diffuse the situation, bowing with respect before addressing him.

"Mr. Sochuro, and this gentleman, please calm down," Abernathy interjected quickly, realizing the need to explain. Otherwise, the trouble would escalate, resulting in an embarrassment of significant magnitude.

"With tens of thousands of attendees outside, hailing from different walks of life, it's highly likely that there are numerous Aurors from the Ministry of Magic among them. I fear that any offense taken by sir would have far-reaching consequences, jeopardizing the friendship between the Alliance Party and You..."

"Alright, no need to explain further. Let's just go in," Sochuro commanded, waving his hand dismissively. Although he valued the importance of adhering to proper etiquette, he wouldn't expect someone unfamiliar with Zhou customs to entertain according to specific protocols.

After all, this was a special occasion. Today's gathering held significant meaning, and in the grand scheme of things, Sochuro cared more about the broader aspects rather than trivial details.

"Thank you for your understanding—"

Inside the VIP room, Aurelius was engrossed in a game of "finding trouble," searching for incongruous individuals among the vast crowd of tens of thousands.

It was an entertaining interactive game during the prelude to the official commencement of the rally.

"Eh?" Aurelius squinted, noticing Sochuro's arrival. It was not entirely unexpected for Sochuro to attend the gathering, but Aurelius didn't anticipate discovering that Sochuro was a major figure.

Over 20 imposing men stood in precise formation on either side, as if they were all sculpted in the same mold. Visually, their height was remarkably consistent.

Their fierce and fearsome presence commanded Aurelius's attention, making it impossible for him to look away.

"Are these all Chinese shamans?" Aurelius's eyes gleamed with intrigue.

Although he was merely a shaman, far from the ancient sects such as Buddhism, Confucianism, and Taoism that had existed for thousands of years, he recognized that the Eastern countries remained shrouded in mystery in this world.

Before this, Aurelius had also received an introduction to shamanism from Nicoléme.

A shaman, in essence, could be understood as a 'witch.' They were not wizards but rather leaders of totem worship, revered by ancient humans. Witches are often considered to be the earliest supernatural beings on earth. They were believed to have existed since humans were unclothed, had hair, and consumed blood.

During this time, humans were just one of many living beings in nature and did not have time to engage in conflicts among themselves. Witches, being possessed of supernatural powers, held great knowledge and wisdom that allowed them to effectively deal with any supernatural threats. On the other hand, tribal leaders acted as warriors, relying on spears and shields to protect the survival of their tribes.

The vast majority of supernatural powers in the world can be traced back to these original witches, although some argue that shamans may be the closest representation of the original form. While the original does not necessarily equate to the best, it has been honed over countless years, leaving behind only the essence.

Shamans are shrouded in mystery, leaving people unsure of the extent of their capabilities. In history, shamans from the Middle East and even Eastern Europe have gained notable reputations.

"No wonder Grindelwald wants to form an alliance with Sochuro. He is not just a thug, he is also a prince!" Aurelius sighed emotionally.

Boom, boom, boom!

"Come in!"

"Mr. Dumbledore, the meeting is about to start. Mr. Grindelwald invites you and Mr. Soprano—"

"Okay, I understand."
