Chapter 51: The Lady In Black, Part Thirty-Six

The girls got out of the coffins once they saw that. Julia found that all of the zombies had simply disappeared without a trace. 

"We did it!" Julia exclaimed victoriously. "An exploit!" 

"Is it really an exploit if the Forces That Be put it in the dungeon themselves?" 

"Whatever, point is, we don't have to fight them!" Julia stated. "We can just wait it out." 

Emi and Max looked relieved. One person, however, did not. 

"... That's just a waste, isn't it?" Zenith asked, arms crossed. 

"Huh?" 

Julia was completely confused. 

"Honestly, pretty shocked that worked." Emi remarked. "I dunno, just seems... oddly generous?"

"Doesn't matter," Julia replied. "We should take what we can get."

"Should we loot the bodies now?" Max asked.

"No, next wave's probably going to start soon. Let's..."

Julia's heart pounded in her chest as she heard the signs of the next wave approach. Again, snarls, screeches and howls.
