Walking back home late at night felt more comfortable and better, I could feel and breathing a really better cold air unlike that of the city of dark. Goham city was the real name of the city of the dark, it got it name when there was too much attacks of the night creatures and the night creatures found Goham a very pretty and they thought it was where they could rest every day.
If the clans that decided to camp in Goham was some smaller clan, the humans would have stayed and put up a fight but this clans of night creatures were part of the big five apart from some set of hybrids;
Vampires, moon light monsters (a little different from the random werewolf, this set of clans had a little of blood of a witch running through their veins) and the most annoying of all the demons. The humans could take on the demons so easily which why they never attacked or moved to a new city alone, they most move with any of the big fives or high hybrids. And those were the only set of people they give respect and try not to annoy but annoying people was demons main goal, their little purpose in life; they could not do without annoying the hell out of each other or the people or clan they were friends with.
The adults in the big five clans do not hide the fact that they were not humans in any community they were, they had the confidence that no human in his normal senses would want to face them even with their so called silver bullet which they had created and was killing a lot of clans of the night creatures.
Sometimes I wonder how we the night creatures came to being like, sometimes I feel like without us the human race would have been in peace and would be full of loving people. I knew more about humans since I had grew up with lot of humans which was really annoying, not because I was a night creature but because they treat a beast like me with so much love. They don't know how badly and deadly I could get.
Mama was making my favorite for which was weird because I did not even had my favorite on my birthdays so what was the ceremony? But it was not my favorite that got me bothered but the fact that she was all joyous and happy, whistling even when it was late in the night, she was breaking one of top five rules.
I hurried to the kitchen and joined her in setting the table but what I heard got me shocked and worried all night
"Don't worry dear, I got this. Go up to your room and freshening up for dinner" he said as she walked out of the kitchen into the dining area setting the table with joy.
I fled upstairs with a big smile but I was still worried, what had happened at work? Or was someone coming? Wait was it papa birthday? How could I forget? All the questions ran through my mind but there was no answer, just total silence. I walked up to where I had hung a mirror and stared at it and said
"What kind of child forgets his father's birthday?" I whispered to myself as I stared at myself. I was expecting the same silence I had gotten in my head when the questions ran through my head but suddenly I heard a response from downstairs; a bold tick and deep voice which sounded pissed.
"Why are you always talking about your son, he is not even your son. Have you guys told him that? And see how he sees you guys after that" the male voice spoke yelling
"What!!!" I yelled into my pillow as I tried to caught my breath then I heard another voice
"Yeah try to tell him, oh sorry" it said. I was sure that was not the end of her statement, she must have created a dramatic pause to say something stupid, I thought to myself. Just then I sat up and then I heard the same voice continue and this it was loud like before.
"It's too late, so sorry Miss. But you got your chance and its up" it said
"She must have moved" I said to myself as I sat up and rested my back on the walls of my rooms as I was sitting on my bed which was so due for a change.
"What did it mean by mama time was up?" I asked myself quietly like I was scared they would hear me from down stair.
"You can't be serious, I don't think it's time" I heard papa voice spoke in a very gentle and calm manner. His voice was always like that but this time I felt like it was really cold today.
Lot of questions ran through my head; time, over, mama and papa not saying anything about the part where the man said they were not my real parents,
"What the fuck in the world was going on?" I whispered the question to myself as I walked over to the door, wondering if I should run down stair and asked them all my questions. I was very sure the man talking with them would happily explain things to me. But things could go sideways too, the man can go nut and pull out a gun or something.
"Now that I need the stupid beast, he would not show up" I cried out in a low tone to myself and the empty dark room.
Every movies I had seen, this type of situation always end up with someone dead and it's either the kid like me or the parents downstairs only if there was a superhero or something that was going to come down to save us.
Either ways I was nothing like the guys in the TV, I have got a demon living side me rent free and it eat for free, I guess it's time he work along with me.
I opened the door gently and walked gently down the stairs, each step like my life depend on it; which it does. Few steps down, I could see the face of the man who had been talking since. He could not see me since there was a pillar covering me.
"What in God's name is he doing here? What does want with me?" I asked myself in a really low tone as I stared at the tiled floor. The white tiled floor seemed to be sparkly white just then I remembered mama must have mopped the whole house. But
"Was this guy the visitor we were expecting?" I thought to myself just while I was lost in thought I had taken my see off them for few seconds then I heard
"I can make yours as fast as her own." On hearing this I ran out of behind the pillar I was and to my surprised it was what I had thought, mama was lying on the floor with her head few steps from the body laying helplessly on the tiled white floor which had turned red.
"RUN MAT. RUN" papa yelled as he spread his arms wide open, pushing the man back.
