Reward From Crown Prince
"So, can you tell me what happened? I get a message from one of the Noble experts patrolling that a part of Elkom Forest had been turned to a wasteland," the High Duke asked.
"It started like this...." Ryker proceed to tell him of what occurred, from how he and Sophia entered the trap of Gulag, his accidently while Sophia was purposely trapped by the old man.
Then, he proceed to tell of the fight between the two Noble experts, causing the three other Noble experts in the room to look at her with awe and admiration.
Being able to hold her own against a terrifying expert like Gulag, even when he was injured is a praiseworthy achievement.
He then told of how the shockwabe broke the Formation and how the man used his Noble Tower even though it hurt him greatly. Ryker then proceed to tell of how he attack the man using power of a Noble close to him.
He even take out the amulet bestowed by Duke Zalrus as evidence. Once he tell that, he continued, telling how Sophia used an amulet to unleash an attack that crippled two of the criminal's Noble Tower.
"The amulet worked perfectly," the High Duke exclaimed, stroking his beard.
"Yes, let me continue," he then tell of how he used the amulet given by the Adventure Guild and used it to transport them to the city, in hopes of being close enough to any Noble Tower in the area.
"That's not what the amulet could do?" Halur interrupted with a look of confusion. The other turned towards him for an explanation.
"The Branch Leader created the amulet so it could be use by a single person. To transport multiple people at once, it should not be possible," they stared at Ryker, expecting an answer.
Ryker, not wanting to speak more than he should, casually slice the air around him, creating a tear through space.
"Law of Space! And from the looks of it, he reach the Understanding Realm," the High Duke exclaimed, shocked just like the others.
They looked even more impressed than before, which is something Ryker did not think possible, but here he is.
"I think, Vice Branch Leader should tell the rest," Halur nodded before telling what happened in his end.
When it ended, all of them looked at Ryker, who was still carrying Sophia, so he was not sure who they are looking at.
"Ryker, both you and Sophia had done the Kingdom a great service," he said before taking out the Spirit Oak Fruit.
"While I cannot give you two Spirit Oak Fruit due to how rare it is, I can give you some other things of similar worth.
Name what you want, and as long as it is reasonable, you will get it," Ryker thought about before asking one more thing,
"Is it for both of us, or for each one of us?"
"The two of you could get one reward of Middle-Grade Noble Artifact worth, along with many resources to accompany it," the Crown Prince added.
"In that case, I would ask for the best sword you have," Ryker said his price.
"Consider it done. When she woke up, tell her of her reward. As for you, Vice Branch Leader Halur, while you did not contribute as much as them, I could give you similar reward, but you will not receive any resources in return," Halur nodded.
"It's as expected. In the end, the two youngsters did most of the heavy work," he looked at Ryker in slight pride. If he had to guess, it's because of him being an adventurer which would lift the image of the branch even more.
"Of course, you have done the Guild a great favor as well. So, if you want to ask for anything, I will ensure in all my power to achieve it," Ryker smiled before telling the man what he wanted.
The man looked surprised but nodded regardless.
"An unorthodox request, but one that should be easy enough to accomplish. I would have to test you though, just to make sure you did not bite more than you chew,"
"Thank you, Vice Branch Leader," he said before turning towards the other Noble expert, a sheepish smile on his face
"Can you allow me to fly just for the day? I need to send her to the auction house," the High Duke took out his communication token and send a message.
Ryker bowed slightly, which is all what he could do with her on top of him before exiting the building, which is the mansion of the High Duke and flying towards Elkom Auction House.
As he did so, the three Noble experts and one Crown Prince sighed in unison.
"To think there is a talented expert in my city. It's too bad he would leave it soon," the High Duke said with a sad tone.
"This place is too small for someone with as great of a potential as he is. As long as he did not suffer from any bottleneck, he would become a Noble expert when he was in his fifty, maybe even younger.
He could even reach the Sovereign Realm with his talent," the Crown Prince said. The others agreed, all having the same thought.
"Will you try to recruit him again, your Majesty?" the guard asked the Crown Prince, who shook his head.
"At the rate he is going, his cultivation would allow him to be transferred to Boluron Central Academy. Someone like him could and should not be fettered by our Kingdom," he answered, his eyes on the flying form of Ryker.
The guard sighed, but accept the Crown Prince unspoken order nonetheless.
"Of course, while we could not recruit him, building a connection is not out of hand just yet," he continued, causing all the Noble experts eyes to widen.
"Yes, if we could garner his favor, when he reach the peak of his talent, we could get something out of it, even if it just connection to such terrifying expert. Plus, from his behavior, he is not the type to throw of connection or relation without any good reason," the High Duke exclaimed.
Soon, the three Noble experts and the Crown Prince began to make a plan to appeal to Ryker, wanting to build a connection with such talented genius.
All while said genius was heading towards Elkom Auction House to drop of Sophia.
