Chapter 372: ~Third Round: "~AHHhhh~"~

'Blessed Aegis' was something that Aether got from Helena... her most desired weapon.

Though calling it a weapon was a stretch. It was something entirely different, something that defined her.... Healing magic!

A soft black dome shimmered around Aether and Liora.

Slowly, the magic went to work. Aether watched as the cuts and bruises on their bodies began to close, their ragged breathing evening out. It wasn't as swift or powerful as Helena's magic, but it was working.

The wounds were healing!

Aether's eyes softened with relief. He reached out and gently ruffled Liora's silky hair, feeling the strands slip through his fingers like fine threads of shadow.... She lay sprawled across his lap, unconscious but peaceful, her face now serene.

She had reverted to her normal form the moment her consciousness slipped away, and now Aether could see the marks of their battle etched into her skin.... the wounds he had caused.
