As I walked down the stairs of the Vermilion mansion, making my way to the main door of the head of the family, I tried, really, really hard to calm myself.

'I held back, didn't I?' I replied to Allison with clear annoyance but she kept taunting me the entire way. Sophien had vaguely told me the location of Cornelius's room and I got there without much problem following the signs she portrayed.

Finally, as I arrived, I greeted the guards who were looking at me strangely because I wasn't supposed to be there anyway. Even on the way, some servants were confused about whether I was invited or not.

"Let the patriarch know that Adrian von Dues Lux is here to greet him," I instructed both of the guards. It was disrespectful of me to show up like that and demand an audience but the guards couldn't tell me off precisely because of who I was.
