Daphne opened her eyes and saw the warm sunlight that was pouring out through her window. It was afternoon and she was in a small town where Esther's grandma, Emma lived. It had been a day since Daphne left ray city, it was a few hours trip. Daphne got up from the bed that she was sharing with Esther, she was the only one in the room and Granny Emma's little house was quiet except for the noise outside. Daphne went outside and saw granny Emma with a straw hat, farming under the hot sun.
"I thought Esther said that you are not allowed to farm?" Daphne smiled at the stubborn old lady who grunted at her. Emma was sick, and Esther was in charge of taking care of her grandmother until her parents came.
"I don't take orders from my granddaughter, I know what is good for me, and this is it." Granny Emma said. She was in love with the little farm that was in her backyard.
