"We truly do appreciate your immense hospitality, your majesty," the monk said as him and Xinghua stood in front of their carriage, the vehicle packed with their luggage and the immense amount of gifts Ísar just had to give them (Xinghua).

"Thanks are unneeded," Ísar said as he faced the two, his guards standing behind him in full armor like he was talking to an enemy state instead of their allies. Why they did so, Ísar could not tell. Nor did he care, for his mind was simply filled with the fact that Xinghua was leaving that day.

After the night they'd just had together? A night filled with running through the woods in ballroom attire, a possible possession, the unknown shadow, and so much more? It simply didn't feel real that his friend was leaving.
