Chapter 227: Monsters and Mating

Sebastian continued to follow the tracks for a while, as his excitement increased with each step.

As he drew nearer to his target, the signs of the monsters' presence became easily discernible among the many things that were on the ground and in the trees.

Then, when the tracks became 'normal' the Rune master understood what kind of creature he was tracking.

At some point, Sebastian heard some guttural growls and the snapping of twigs growing louder.

There were also some other weird noises going around, but the Rune Master couldn't understand what they were or from what they came from.

"Ooh, that sounds like a party up ahead! I hope I'm not underdressed." Sebastian's eyes were gleaming with manic anticipation at that point. "Though I suppose a few bloodstains and claw marks would really tie the outfit together."

Suddenly, the undergrowth parted, revealing a small clearing where a group of Thornback Howlers had gathered.
