Chapter 133: The forest (3)

Sebastian continued through the thick undergrowth of the forest, putting as much distance as possible between himself and the burning remains of the Wraithling Swarm.

Sweat poured down his face due to the intensity of the battle and the heat of the spreading flames. His undead minions followed silently behind.

After some time, the Rune Master stopped to catch his breath. The sounds of the fire crackling around him had faded, leaving the noises of the forest as the only company he had—ghastly sounds, inhuman shrieks, and the shrills of creatures being slaughtered—but the fire and the smoke could see them from a distance. The column of smoke was so tall that even the trees couldn't shield it.

Sebastian wondered how many fangeds he killed by setting the place on fire.

"Too bad I can't absorb their mana." He turned to his undead, breathing heavily.
