3.22% My Target Is A... Succubus? / Chapter 2: 2

Chapter 2: 2

The day of the mission came, and Kenzo got dressed, ready to carry out his task. He didn't care what his target was doing at that moment. He knew that by the end of the night, she would be another lifeless body in his collection.

Kenzo understood the power he had, he was like the grim reaper, but even scarier.

"It is time," He muttered to himself.

He was about to leave when the doorbell rang.

Surprised, Kenzo had almost forgotten what his own doorbell sounded like.

Curious but cautious, he wondered who could be visiting him after 11 P.M. He knew it was late, even though he didn't quite understand social queues; he knew it was an unusual time for a normal person to visit someone.

"An enemy?" Kenzo thought, reaching for the knife he had tucked into the back of his trouser.

Sensing a potential threat behind the door, he prepared himself but this was only for the worst case scenario.

Hoping that staying silent would make whoever was there to go away, Kenzo felt disappointed as the whispers and attempts to open the doorknob continued.

It was clear that the intruder wanted to get inside, Kenzo moved out of sight; knowing that breaking in was the only option for them to get in which would leave him within his legal rights to do with them as he pleased.

He prepared himself to defend against this unwelcome intrusion but began to have second thoughts, he could not attract unnecessary attention.

The last thing Kenzo needed in that moment was the interference of the police, poking around and asking questions that should remain unasked.

Faced with this problem, he recognized he truly only had one option.

Yanking the door open, Kenzo braced himself for a potentially intimidating presence, only to find his nosy neighbor, accompanied by her daughter who had recently returned from college, staring back at him.

Kenzo maintained a blank stare, anticipating an explanation for their unexpected presence. This marked the first time the woman's daughter had seen Kenzo up close, and she found herself speechless by his appealing scent and handsome appearance.

"K-Kenzo, we didn't know you were home," Mrs. Woo apologized, though it hardly served as a satisfactory explanation.

It implied a plan to break into his house the moment he left, a scenario Kenzo couldn't tolerate. Despite his frustration, he held his tongue and continued to scrutinize them.

The intensity of Kenzo's gaze unsettled them, his striking red eyes reflecting the moonlight. Recognizing the potential for future trouble if he didn't nip it in the bud, Kenzo remained resolute in his silence.

"W-We didn't mean to disturb you, please forgive us," pleaded the daughter, her cheeks flushed red. In contrast to her mother, she lacked an ample chest but possessed a waist shaped like an 8, complemented by an alluring bottom that would make Hercules wish it was one of his labors.

Despite wearing glasses and exuding a plain Jane vibe, she held an undeniable attractiveness.

Yet, Kenzo, as discerning as he was, hadn't encountered anyone compelling enough to claim as his own.

The disappointment in his expression was evident, and they sensed it, but all he did was take a deep breath.

"Mrs. Woo, do you want to search my house?" Kenzo asked bluntly, stepping aside and gesturing for them to proceed. Two possible outcomes lingered — they either accepted the invitation, potentially discovering his gun or anything that could implicate him, leading to an outcome where neither come out alive, or they declined, accepting Kenzo's innocence.

"N-No, it's fine. We wouldn't want to keep you from your date," Mrs. Woo responded, momentarily leaving Kenzo puzzled.

It took him a moment to realize he was in a suit.

"Ha!" Kenzo laughed, the sound seemingly genuine despite its performative nature.

The ladies were taken aback by the innocence conveyed in his laughter.

"You're welcome here anytime, Mrs. Woo, and...?" Kenzo paused, prompting the daughter to introduce herself.

"I-I'm Eun-Ji," the bespectacled lady responded, surprised at his interest in her name.

"We will leave you to it! Sorry once again," Eun-Ji excused herself, grabbing her mother by the arm as they made their way from the area.

Once out of sight, Kenzo's face showed no emotions. He would have instantly dealt with them if there were no repercussions, and he might just do so if they attempted something like this again.

In the quiet of the night, a woman with red hair in her mid-thirties was right in front of a TV.

"There's really nothing good on TV." SHhe complained.

Wearing revealing lingerie, she felt bored and restless after midnight, unable to sleep.

She got out of bed and went to the kitchen for a late-night snack. As she walked, her flat stomach and curvy figure were visible, and her breasts subtly bounced with each step.

Instead of going back to her bedroom after retrieving a snack that wasn't her, she decided to go outside for some fresh air.

She felt safe in her neighborhood, not expecting any trouble. Little did she know, a man wearing a mask named Kenzo was silently lurking behind her.

When she turned around to go back inside, the man had disappeared.

Kenzo was skilled at moving quickly and quietly, making it hard for anyone to keep up with him.

Unaware of the killer's presence, she had no idea that this would be her last night alive.

Suddenly, she found herself face to face with her killer.

Kenzo knew he had to act fast before she could call for help. However, he intentionally let her see him, enjoying the fear he expected to see on her face. But to his surprise, she didn't seem scared or surprised when she saw him.

"You're late..." she said with a disappointed sigh, confusing Kenzo as he prepared to carry out his deadly plan.

Maybe she had mistaken him for someone else, but Kenzo didn't care.

Her lack of fear meant she was vulnerable, making his task easier.

He took a step towards her, but her next words stopped him in his tracks. Her lips formed a smile as she said something that only people familiar with his work would know.

"... The Oni killer."

Just as she said those words, Kenzo heard a gun being cocked in another room with a gunshot following soon after.
