Chapter 41: Am I going to die soon?

Nyx was puzzled at first, not understanding the strong dark presence around him. He was still Skye, the man that she knew, and nothing was wrong with him, nor was he being impersonated or possessed. So, what could have caused this?

"Skye," she pulled away to have a look at him, and it became very clear. The familiar dark aura. Now, she remembers where she felt it before. Her late mother. It was an aura of death

"What happened?" Skye looked at her, thrown off by the sudden change in her. She was crying just a moment ago, so why was she looking at him as if the world was about to come to an end?"

Nyx cupped his face as she thought to look into his lifespan. She hadn't thought of doing that because she didn't think it was necessary before, but now it was a must to do so. "Stay Still, please," she uttered, her voice a little shaky as she thought she was the reason behind all of this.
