Chapter 38: Lyra

In the depth of the night, although the streets have grown silent as people have either gone to bed or about to, the same could not be said about a certain street in the heart of the city. There, a certain building illuminated by neon lights of multiple colors was buzzing with life. Within it, people dancing or just moving from place to place could be seen. Some were seated and enjoying the drinks while others were already drunk.

The loud music prevented people from different tables from hearing each other, but no one seemed to mind as they all knew where they were. No one cared what happened to anyone in here. Friends and foes could meet here. Death was not a thing of surprise anymore in the infamous establishment, yet it has not been closed down. Rather, its business seems to boom as the days go by.
