Chapter 17: Rhodey's help
He needed time and now Pepper wasn't giving him that.
Meanwhile after Pepper left Tony at his shop Tony decided to use this free time to go meet Rhodey.
Before leaving though he told Jarvis to implement some things to the mark 3 suit which one of them was enhancing the shock absorber, while still leaving the exoskeletons the same way.
That was because all though he didn't straight out die from getting shot by a missile from a tank thanks to the durability of the suit and active shock absorber he still took blunt damage, meaning if he was shot enough times with the same tank, he would probably break a rib or something.
One of the comands he gave Jarvis was to also paint the mark three giving it a pinch of yellow almost close to gold in specific areas while also leaving the silver colour on other areas.
Leaving the mansion empty, Tony was on his way to the military base in California to meet Rhodey which he saw.
Rhodey was busy indoctrinating the new Air Force recruits as Tony only stood there watching until Rhodes saw him.
He excused himself from the recruits and came to meet Tony who was still looking around and said
"I was expecting you to come and make some kind of scene or mock me"
"What do you take me for? A child?"
"Yes"
"Well good you know cuz this child over here needs his nanny to change his diapers"
"What do you want Tony?"
Tony then turned and looked at him for a second to see his reaction for the next question
"Did you know Obi was dealing under the table?"
"Huh? What do you mean Obi is dealing under the table in your company?"
Tony then dragged him over to a corner where they stood where no one can easily hear them.
"Okay so here's how it went…"
Tony then narrated the story of how he went to go crash his own party that Obi held, that was where he found out and Obi also admitted to it.
"That not good Tony" Rhodey said with a shaking head
"I know that's not good, that's why I am trying to stop him and I need your help with that "
"Tony I mean that is not good for you, no matter what you do, your name is going to get dragged into this mess, and with no solid proof that your uncle is behind this, he could easily turn the tables against you"
"You think I don't know that Rhodey?"
"Oh you do? Then why are you here with no proof Tony?"
"Look, as for the last standing proof, I already sent Pepper to go get shipping manifest in my office and I gave her a way to hack into the mainframe so I'll be expecting it by tonight"
" And me?"
"As for you I need you to sit tight and buckle up cuz once the Pepper comes in with it, I will send it to you and then I'll need you swoop in and donkey tie him out of there"
