Chapter 51: Second Encounter (1)

Penelope moaned softly as his touch continued to ignite her desire within her. She thought she was the only one who missed their intimacy and never thought Raven felt the same way. Raven's fingers traced the curve of Penelope's jaw; his eyes fixed on her with a hint of longing and desire for her. 

As their gazes locked, a silent understanding passed between them. At that moment, words were no longer necessary as their unspoken desire between them hung heavily in the air. However, the moment was easily broken when someone knocked on Penelope's door, forcing Raven to release her from her hold. 

"Raven, Jude has arrived and is waiting at your study with Miss Priscilla." 

They heard Martha's voice outside the door. Raven sighed and ran a hand on his hair, his frustration evident as he realized the moment between him and his wife had been interrupted. 

"It's alright, Rae. Duty calls," she said softly.
