Priscilla looked down, giving it a good thought. She took a deep breath before finally speaking, her voice tinged with regret.

"I was scared—scared of losing my job, scared of the repercussions, and scared that no one would believe me," she admitted, tears welling up in her eyes. I thought I could handle it alone, but it kept getting worse. And then today… I couldn't take it anymore. After what happened to you and Melody, I didn't want to make Mom worry."

Penelope embraced her sister in a tight hug, offering silent comfort. She couldn't imagine the pain and stress Priscilla went through. No wonder Priscilla's complexion and health deteriorated every time she saw her. Priscilla leaned into her sister's embrace, finally releasing the pent-up emotions she had been carrying for so long.
