Chapter 120: Chapter 120 Blame
Kumogakure.
Raikage Office.
The shocked eyes of the third Raikage were on the fainted figures on the floor, the rest in the room showing no less of a reaction.
Most of the top combat force of Kumogakure was present in the Raikage office, Dodai, the attendant of Third Raikage, had an eyepatch over his left eye and wore a huge hat with black hair sticking out at the ends, looking in his early forties.
Ai, the son of third Raikage and the potential fourth Raikage, his partner Killer Bee, also the eight tails jinchuriki and the second tails jinchuriki, a blonde woman in her late forties, Yugino.
Dodai sat next to a fainted shinobi with his eyes closed and had two fingers placed on his neck, the shocked look increasing every passing second.
"This… how is that possible?... Just how?"
After a while, Dodai opened his eyes and lifted his fingers from the neck, speaking out in a tone of disbelief.
"Their chakra pathways… they have vanished like they never existed in the first place, this has also resulted in loss of chakra, now they are even weaker than a civilian."
Told Dodai about his findings with a look of dread on his face.
Every single person in this world, whether he was a shinobi or not possessed chakra and the only difference between them was that the former learned how to use it and latter did not.
Not a single person in the whole history of shinobi has ever been found to be without chakra, yet now around two to three hundred such people had appeared.
After Dodai's words there was a long silence as what they heard was something they had not ever even imagined and it took a long time to digest the news.
"Is there a way bring their chakra back?" Asked the Third Raikage while barely keeping his cool, others in the room all able to feel the anger he was holding back.
"The only one who can answer this question is the one responsible for all this in the first place" Answered Dodai his query as only someone who could do an unbelievable thing like permanently taking chakra away might be able to bring it back as well.
"But this samurai who caused all this, despite being strong enough to take down a small village in a matter of minutes is totally fameless around the world, whether in black market or anywhere else there's no information about him"
"Even in the land of iron, which is the hub of most samurai he is completely unknown"
Yugino, the two tails jinchuriki who was also the head of intelligence department shared what information they had gathered about this attacker who was dressed like a samurai lord and even fought like them, basically nothing.
"How about we ask some of the higher ups of land of iron, they might know something about him father" Suggested Ai, the son of Raikage.
"There's no need for that." Rejected Third Raikage his son's suggestion and seeing him confused to why he rejected it, he elaborated.
"I deny him being a samurai at all, as the way his strength was described by those who battled him—having speed at least equal to mine and then even using shadow clone jutsu and a barrier technique to enclose the whole village that is not something any samurai can do; I deny the existence of a samurai whose strength rivals that of a kage and can perform top barrier techniques and forbidden ninjutsu."
"I'm leaning more towards him being from one of the five great nations and from which one..."
Saying that the third Raikage stood up from his seat and arrived near the window to overlook the whole village, the eyes of everyone else fixed on his back, waiting for his next words.
"Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu is a forbidden ninjutsu that even in Konoha, very few have mastered and no other shinobi village has been able to get their hands on it and adding such a sophisticated barrier technique to the equation, I don't think we need much of a thought to figure out who's behind it."
BOOM!!!
"Damn Konoha Bastards!! How dare they attack us!!?"
Third Raikage's words fell and thunder burst out of his son as angrily he punched down on the floor, cracking it immediately.
"Please calm down, we shouldn't jump to conclusions so quickly." Dodai probably the most coolheaded in the entire Kumogakure stepped forward to calm Ai down, who, taking a deep breath looked at him.
"I don't believe konoha can take the initiative to trouble other villages when they know exactly how it would end up; they have been ganged twice in wars already and would prefer peace for as long as possible."
Shared Dodai his thoughts, as he couldn't convince himself to believe it was truly konoha behind this despite the evidence pointing towards them, maybe they were framed or something but definitely they were not behind this.
"It doesn't matter whether konoha is behind this or not, the evidence points towards them and that's all we need."
"Send a messenger towards konoha, Ask them to hand over the man who destroyed Shimogakure; otherwise, I'll see them on the battlefield."
Thud!
Sigh….
Saying that Raikage stepped out of the room, Dodai let out a tired sigh, acting on his orders as he had no other choice.
