Chapter 84: Chapter 84 Cold Blood
Konoha.
Aoyama House.
Drip… drip… drip…
The sound echoed through the silent room as each droplet of blood fell in a steady rhythm, hitting the cold floor with a soft, yet chilling splat.
The sharp kunai dug into the shoulder the reason behind this rinsing blood, the man with silver hair with his head turned to look back gazing at the hand holding the kunai that was dug into his shoulder.
His brown eyes met those of the woman whose facial features were a lot similar to his, a look of dismay and infinite disappointment easy to spot in his eyes.
"Ha… I… couldn't do it after all… I couldn't after all…
Keiko with tears streaming down her eyes let go of the hand holding the kunai dug into Kazuki's shoulder; going on her knees and speaking out in gasps as a look of despair on her face.
Thud!
Kazuki not caring one bit for the kunai drilled into his shoulders just leaned on to the wall next to him and raised his right hand to cover his eyes, going completely still.
"Why….
Eventually just one word that seemed to carry all sorts of emotions left his mouth, his hand still covering his eyes and most of his face.
Hearing his words, Keiko raised her tear stained face to look at her son and bringing a wry smile amid the tears spoke up.
"A Shinobi doesn't ask why; A Shinobi just acts" Said Keiko as immediately after her words Kazuki removed the hand covering his face to gaze at her with two blood red eyes.
"Between Love and Village… I chose the latter"
Ha!!
Her words fell and next moment she shook and went completely statue, her eyes and mouth wide open as white foam began to pour out of her mouth.
Thud!
Her body seemed to lose support as she lay down on the floor, her eyes getting blurry and her face getting pale at a speed visible to the naked eye.
Kazuki without any movement just watched Keiko who lying on the floor slowly seemed to be losing her life but his eyes blinked when he spotted something on her tongue, a black seal.
Puff!
The moment he saw the black seal, Kazuki finally seemed to have returned to reality as the disappointed look on his face faded replaced by a stoic one as reaching towards the kunai drilled into his shoulders, he pulled it out and more blood poured over the white shirt he was wearing.
Walking towards Keiko lying on the floor, Kazuki reached down to pick her up and giving her a straight look, spoke up.
"This will be the last favour I'll do for your efforts of bringing me in this crazy world as I have played my part as a good son enough; I went along with that trial despite the fact if I wanted no one could force me, I stood before everyone like a criminal and answered questions like a good little boy when a little display of force would have solved everything"
"All because I didn't want your reputation ruined and yet all that for being nearly killed by my own mother"
Saying that in a disappointed tone, Kazuki closed his eyes and next moment disappeared from the room along with keiko in his arms.

Konoha Hospital.
Swish!
Out of nowhere Kazuki suddenly appeared at the entrance of the konoha hospital with Keiko who had her eyes on Kazuki carrying her, the black entrance gate carrying a small flying raijin formula on it.
Huh…
Tsunade who in the head office was busy going through some reports, suddenly frowned and raised her head to look towards the door of the room, a silver haired figure standing there.
Seeing Kazuki, Tsunade was obviously surprised but that surprise quickly turned into dread after she gave his blood littered attire and the passed out with her mouth foaming a look.
Swish!
"What happened!!? Are you okay!??"
With a worried face, Tsunade quickly appeared before him and immediately bombarded him with the obvious question, her eyes looking at the gruesome deep wound on his shoulder.
"I'm fine, it's just a minor wound but if you are able to; please save her"
Said Kazuki with a calm look on his face, pointing towards Keiko in his arms.
Tsunade nodding immediately took keiko from his arms and placed her gently on the floor, green chakra appearing around her ring finger as she placed it in her mouth as small purple particles got attached to the green chakra around her finger.
"She is poisoned and its quite a deadly one; I'm not completely sure of being able to save her"
Said Tsunade in a serious tone after giving the purple grain like particles attached to her chakra a look.
At her words, Kazuki's stoic look didn't waver as he calmly responded.
"Just try your best and leave the rest to her fate, Lady Tsunade"
Keiko was quickly moved to the emergency operation room as Tsunade with few other expert medical shinobi started her treatment as Kazuki calmly waited outside the operating room.
Creek!
After an hour or so, Tsunade along with some other medical shinobi walked out of the room… but a slightly sad and frustrated look on her face.
"I'm sorry Kazuki…. The poison had seeped too deep into her organs… even for me it was impossible to save her"
…..
Told Tsunade the truth with a dejected look on her face, Kazuki's eyes flickering a little at her words as he stayed silent.
"Who was she? Was it someone close to you?"
Seeing Kazuki not showing much emotion and just staying silent, Tsunade feeling bad at her failure couldn't help but inquire in a worried tone.
Ha!
At her question, Kazuki raised his head to look at her and suddenly let out a little laugh, his lips parting next second.
"Close to me? In a way she was… Keiko Aoyama, a Shinobi of the Hidden Leaf"
Said Kazuki with his eyes closed and a breezy smile on his face, Tsunade's eyes widening at his words and a chill going through her body.
