Jack looked at Cherry curiously. "How do you know about her?"

Cherry's lips curled into an amused smile as she stirred her coffee with deliberate ease, the spoon clinking softly against the cup. "It's easy to figure out. After all, I had to look into the background of the guy who somehow manages to get lucky every time he cuts stones. That kind of luck isn't normal, you know."

Jack smirked faintly.

In truth, Samantha Merry, the name that tied Jack's girlfriend to the prestigious Merry Family. Cherry didn't know the details, like why Samantha had left her powerful family to settle in Marin City, but it wasn't something she particularly cared about. So she knew about Samantha Merry before Jack in city, and now got new news that Samantha got herself a boyfriend. Anyways, she didn't care about this.
