Chapter 20: Chapter 19
It's been a day and we have made it to the Takagi mansion. I was greeted with the very sorry sight of Shido. He looked like he had seen better days. I was happy to see him and his one lackey what's his face. They won't be seeing tomorrow. Their numbers had dwindled to three. The plus one was none other than Miku. Hot take, that girl banging. However, she is also a snake. I could have had her on my side if I showed her my power but honestly, fuck that. She looked tired. Oof. I kinda feel bad for her. Probably got used all the way here and I doubt that's going to change anytime soon.
Apparently we arrived at the same time. Lucky me. He didn't have time to cement his position as a cult leader. I'll have to stop that charade before it gets out of hand. I feel more confident with Saeko on my side. She is probably the hardest girl to win over if you count my dishonorable ways potentially clashing with her honorable samurai way. Quite frankly, fuck Honor, fuck pride. Pride is a useless and costly emotion to maintain and when reality sets in it leaves you. You think it's cool to refuse money or even food when it's offered to you by someone you don't respect until you're starving and have effectively doomed the people around you. Survival will never be shameful.
So we receive a hero's welcome. Boobs all over me as I'm smothered by Shizuka and later Kikyo. Good job girl. I knew I made the right decision with you. Says is in tsundere mode. Being all 'hmpf your better not die or something. It's not like I care of anything' I have got to fix that behavior, or maybe not. I like her as she is. Only she can fix herself if she wants to. Takashi seems happy. Happy that Saeko is back. Oh lil bro, you have no idea. Damn me for throwing my phone.
If I, no when I kill Shido and co. I will effectively leave Miku I'm the hands of those other men. Wow I don't care. I'm not going to play captain save a hoe. She's a smart girl I'm sure she'll be fine. There's many people she can mingle with here. She'll settle in well, or she might opt to keep them close for some extra protection. That would be unwise though. She can't trust that they'll pull out and as I said before kids are a big no no. I should draw some morning pills hopefully soon. Better safe than sorry.
Rei starts some shit with Shido who smugly dares her to do something. To no one's surprise she chickens out. Now I'm not saying taking a life should come easy to just anyone especially in the modern world. There's usually no need for that but there is a saying that talks about desperate times. This is one of those times. That weakness can and will cost them dearly.
The kids, that's us are apparently pissed off by the fact that we are being treated as kids. They don't allow us to work or help plus since we are connected to lil baby Saya we're effectively V.I.Ps. Finally I'm being treated like the superstar that I am. Free food, no chores, bitches. What more could a man want? Apparently some people just want it all. Takashi and Rei are pissed at this outrage. Them, the weak links. While everyone else has kills under their belt. They are sitting comfortably at zero and nil. At least as far as I'm concerned.
"What's wrong with you two this time," I ask. Lately I haven't started shit. I intent to fix that.
"I just don't like how these people keep treating us like children," idiot. Can't blame him though they seem to be everywhere nowadays.
"Oh I didn't recognise you there old man. Pray tell where are you're children?" I respond.
"Come on. I just think we can do more to help around here," he adds. I notice he doesn't actually do anything about it. Just whines. He could go out and enjoy life as one of the lesser people outside but he won't. I know his kind. Actions and words Takashi. Actions and words.
"Yes because you two have been so helpful when you were needed," I say as I roll my eyes
"You don't have to be such an ass about it," Rei tries to defend her man.
"And yet you didn't refute my claims," I shake my head. Okay this is enough. Let me go find Saya Baby Girl. "Later losers,"
I take a tour around the Takagi mansion. Occasionally glancing at the random shit in their house. I see no use in such things but maybe that's because I'm poor and therefore blind. When it doesn't concern you it might as well not exist. Rich people can't understand some of the things that poor people do because they never had to go through the same problems in their life. It's not their fault. No one would want their children to live lousy lives. I've seen a lot of people talk down on rich people as if they were better than them when the opposite is what is right. Rich people aren't great either but at least there is substance to their bullshit. Poor people however, they revel in their poverty ,all because of pride.
I end up in the library where I find Saya writing down something. She barely notices me walking up to her. To her credit though she recovers quickly, avoiding my gaze.
"Did you talk to your parents yet?" I speak anyway.
"Not really. They're too busy. Can you believe that?" her voice grows weaker.
"It's okay to be upset. In fact you'dbe right to do so,"
"I don't really want to talk about this right now. Is there anything else you need? I need to get back to this it's important,"
"Well I was going to teach you how to make a bomb but…" her eyes light up. Got 'em. Genius she may be but that's not going to get her far practically. It's not like that info is simply available in highschool textbooks.
"Why would I want to know that. We have you for that," this crazy girl. How dare she not fall for my trap of spending more time with her and me taking advantage. My brow creases and she smirks when she sees this. Does she know? Doesn't matter though. I have a plan.
"Saya," I close the distance between us.
"W-what?" her cheeks turn beet red.
"I like you," I whisper in her ears trying my hardest to replicate breathy, deep hot guy voice. I don't make the rules I just play the game.
"Idiot!" high attractiveness for the win.
Having wasted Saya's time for a while more I retire to my room and wait for nightfall. Shido won't see the sun rise tomorrow. I have a knife with me. I can't risk using a gun obviously but there are many ways of getting the job done. I got a knife earlier that I keep handy just in case. Can't afford to get caught lacking especially if I ever manage to get captured. I'd want to start off somewhere. Overpowering Shido won't be an issue.
After we go to bed. I wait for a couple of hours before I make my move. My enhanced senses and hitman training should cover for me. Damn it feels good to say that. It feels even better to do that. My steps are basically muffled even when I'm running. The guards don't stand a chance. I can almost hear them saying 'must have been the wind'
I find Shido and his lackey sleeping in the same tent. Gay? Fact or fiction. The room also smells of sex. Poor girl. She's nowhere to be seen. She can't even catch a break. Its an evil world we live in but we gotta keep living. At least I won't have to kill her now. I wasn't planning on it but if they were still fucking I would have. She can't be trusted to keep her mouth shut and I ain't taking her nowhere. So this might be for the best. She'll be pissed tomorrow. All that work for nothing. Anyway, time to die asshole.
I return to my room victorious having unlocked two new tiers. Killing people too OP please don't NERF. Carrying with me the two silver handguns that 47 uses PLUS their infinite ammo makes me want to go to town on some unfortunate souls right now. I decide against it though as greed is a dangerous sin. I haven't settled in my bed when I hear a knock at the door. Getting ready to play dumb I open it to a very pleasant surprise. Kikyo and Shizuka. I smile like an idiot as I let them in. Truly I am the world's greatest man.
