Chapter 71: Rest and mysterious map
"So, how was your talk with Smoker?" Nami asked curiously when Zack returned.
"That guy left without even saying goodbye." Zack unhappily grunted and sat down.
"Hehe! Vice-Captain, you might be the first one to say something like that to a marine." Robin chuckled and continued reading her book.
"Well, I am definitely not the first one." Zack shook his head and answered. He turned his head and saw Zoro exercising with bandages on his body.
"Zoro, did you forget what happened to me? Although it was a rare case, if you don't rest properly you will definitely recover slowly."
"That's right! Zack, I told him the same thing but he didn't listen at all." Chopper immediately raised his voice and pouted angrily.
Zoro frowned when even Zack asked him to rest.
"But, I can easily move my body and there is no discomfort."
That's why he was able to use the previous attack.
Zack suddenly got serious as he stared at Zoro and said.
"Zoro, I will never stop you from getting stronger instead I will always help you but I hope you will keep this in mind. Chopper is the doctor of our ship. He knows our condition more than anyone else. So, please listen to him!"
When he seriously said this, Chopper walked up to Zack and suddenly showed him teary eyes.
"Zack, you are so good to me."
Zack patted his head and said.
"You are our doctor after all. And, I don't want my crew to suffer a situation similar to mine. Only when you get enough rest, you can recover quickly. Isn't that right?"
Chopper vigorously nodded his head and turned his head at Zoro.
"Zoro, you should take a rest. After that, not only you can train but you even train harder."
Hearing Chopper's words, Zoro finally stopped training and went to sleep. Seeing this, everyone else was speechless.
"By the way, after Sanji finishes cooking, let's put all the food on the ship and set sail. Although we might not get attacked again so soon, we still need to be careful."
"Luffy might take a long time to wake up."
Hearing his words, everyone nodded their heads. Finally, Vivi walked toward Zack and asked.
"Zack, do you think I should start training now?"
She wasn't injured so she wanted to train faster and get stronger. But, Zack shook his head and said.
"Let's not train today. Although it is good to get stronger and share the burden of the crew mates, it will be no fun if you can't even enjoy the free time with your crew mates."
"Alright!" Hearing his explanation, Vivi brightly smiled and nodded her head.
"Then, Zack, shouldn't we do something fun?" Usopp chuckled as he asked.
"Well, how about we listen to one of the brave tales of Captain Usopp?" Zack stared at Usopp and joked.
Hearing his words, Usopp suddenly blushed while everyone else burst into laughter.
"Zack, how about you tell us some exciting stories?" Nami excitedly rubbed Zack's arm with her breasts and asked.
Seeing this, Sanji who was cutting onion burst into tears. It's just that the reason for his tears was unknown.
Zack thought for a moment and said.
"Well, I don't know what kind of story should I tell you. Hmmm! Yes, I know few good one but let's save it for some other. Let see ..... O I completed forget about the treasure map."
When he said that, Sanji who was cooking, Luffy and Zoro who was sleeping, Usopp who was blushing, and Chopper who seemed to be following the expression of others all showed excitement on their faces.
"Treasure map" shouted Luffy and Nami.
"Yup, a treasure map. I found it at Drum Islands while we were still there. During that time,we were still focused on Crocodile and Alabasta, so I completely forgot about it."
"Shiiishiii I smell adventure, let go" shouted luffy
"The island is not escaping anywhere, let's enjoy food and rest today. And leave tomorrow at dawn." Unfolding the king's treasure map.
"The treasure will be legendary," said Ussop.
" I am all pumped up," said Luffy
" Before that SANJI !! FOOD."

A day and a half later,
"The island where the Hearts Treasure sleeps?" Zoro questioned, raising an eyebrow as he continued to lift his weights. The entire crew gathered inside the kitchen after completing training for the day.
"Right, the island is called Hearts Island" Nami nodded.
"That's an interesting name, very straightforward" Vivi raised an eyebrow, eyes curiously staring down at the map Nami had laid out on the table.
"Zack truly found such a great map!" Sanji swooned from his spot stationed near the stove.
"I bet it's a super cool treasure!" Usopp exclaimed, already becoming excited at the thought of treasure.
"Let's check it out!" Luffy smiled. "I'm getting more excited!"
"Let's not" Chopper piped up from his spot on the floor, grinding up herbs to make more medicine.
"Huh?" everyone tilted their heads, looking at the reindeer with confused expressions.
"What are you talking about, Chopper?" Zoro asked.
"There's a treasure there just waiting for us" Nami frowned. "What kind of idiot would pass up a chance like this?"
"I thought you would be just as excited as Usopp and Luffy" Robin who was silently reading a book, tilted her head before looking and frowning. "Is something a matter, Chopper?"
"But, there might be scary pirates trying to get it!" Chopper worriedly exclaimed, causing the brunette to giggle.
"You're a pirate too" Robin and Nami reminded the reindeer.
"Ah! I forgot!" Chopper cutely embarrassingly pulled his hat down and over his eyes.
"Gimme a break" Usopp sighed as he stood up.
"But, listen, I get seasick and it'd be bad if anyone got injured!" Chopper argued.
"If you get seasick, then why are you on a boat?" Zack chuckled, eyes shining with amusement as he stared down at his little friend.
"If someone does get injured, we've got a doctor on hand, don't we?" Usopp asked.
"We do, but..." Chopper trailed off, not knowing what else he could say.
"Goes to show how new you still are to all this" Usopp said. "You can never predict the kind of monsters we'll face."
"Monsters?!" Chopper squealed.
"Yeah," the sharpshooter nodded. "Maybe a One-Ton Vampire Penguin or a Man-Eating Scallop!"
"That's one hell of an imagination you've got there" Vivi hummed, resting her chin on the palm of her hand. "But, I think you better lighten up, I don't appreciate you scaring the cutie."
"Or a ferocious Giant Takoyaki, or a Killer Shrimp Gyouza!" the long-nosed pirate continued to list off imaginary monsters, scaring the reindeer further.
"How can he believe that?" Nami raised an eyebrow before snickering when the sharpshooter suddenly released a yelp upon the harsh flick delivered to his nose by Zack.
"Told you to lighten up, didn't I?" Zack smiled at the glare he received while Chopper backed away from the group, bumping into Luffy who had been quietly drawing this entire time.
"Ah! Sorry," Chopper quickly apologized, turning to face the captain, only to scream the minute he spotted the raven-haired man's drawing. "Ahh! A monster!"
"Hey, that's rude! Who are you calling a monster?" Luffy frowned.
"If you scare this easily, you're not fit to be our nakama," Zoro said.
"Don't say such silly things!" Nami glared at the swordsman.
"I'm not afraid! If it comes to it, I'll fight bravely with you guys!" Chopper claimed, bringing a smile to the nami's lips.
"Brave words, it'll look bad if you chicken out when the going gets tough" Sanji commented, setting down plates of food.
"I-I've become a full-fledged pirate!" Chopper stuttered out.
"OK ok enough guys, Chopper they are pulling your leg. No need to take the words seriously. You have defeated a subordinate of Crocodile and clashed with Marine before. Have some self confidence." Zack said reassuring the reindeer.
"I'm not going to run away!" Chopper proclaimed just as the ship started to violently shake.
"W-w-wha-? What's going on?" Usopp nervously asked as both he and the reindeer started to freak out. The crew stood, rushing out onto the deck of the Going Merry, and witnessed as the water around them started to shoot up into the air.
"Hey, an island!" Luffy pointed right as the ship was thrown up into the air. Nami screamed in fear at the sudden action as Usopp's body fell backward, groaning when one of the barrels on deck smashed into his stomach. Others trying to get a hold of the ship to stop flying.
"Did an underwater volcano erupt?!" Zoro questioned, keeping a tight hold on the tense brunette while holding onto the ship's railing. Luffy tightly held onto railings, his body wildly bouncing around as he kept a tight hold on Usopp, making sure the sharpshooter didn't go flying off the ship.
"Look! Down there!" Nami pointed down toward the smoke clouds that wrapped around the island.
"The smoke clouds are forming a heart!" Zoro gaped.
"A heart?" Luffy and Zack questioned.
"Do you think...it could be...?" Usopp trailed off, watching as the others exchanged glances with one another, thinking the same thing.
"Yes, no doubt about it" Nami nodded.
"It's Heart Island!" Luffy happily exclaimed as everyone stared down at the island while the Merry soared over it.
"That's for sure, it's so beautiful" Zack breathed out in awe. Then suddenly a thought crossed his mind,' Isn't this part of a non-canon movie? How could.... Oh shit Chopper is in danger.'
"Oi...this is not the time to be enjoying the view!" Zack snapped at the other the minute the ship started to make its descent back to the ground.
"Chopper!" Luffy and Zack suddenly shouted the minute the reindeer went flying into the air. His body hit the crow's nest as he grabbed at the flag, tightly clinging to it before crying the minute the fabric ripped.
"Robin, help chopper with Luffy." shouted Zack.
"Chopper!" Luffy blew air in the arm and stretched his arm towards the reindeer, grinding his teeth as he noted how the animal was already too far out of reach for him to grab. While Robin with her power tried to get a hold of both chopper and Luffy. It was at that moment the ship finally landed, crashing into the shoreline and sliding into the water.
"Oi...guys...you alright?" Zoro breathed out, his hold on Vivi tightening tightly clung to him. Her heart thundering in her chest from the sudden crash landing.
"Well...kinda" Usopp weakly responded, his body tangled up in the ropes that held up the sail.
"Ah, Nami-san!" Sanji cooed the minute he noticed that his head had landed right on the orange-haired woman's lap. "I just can't resist-chu!"
"He must think he's died and gone to heaven" Vivi's sweat dropped as she saw the love-stricken expression on the blonde's face.
"Are you alright?" blinking her eyes as she heard the swordsman ask this, looking towards him only to be embarrassed as she saw his eyes worriedly scanning up and down her body as if checking for any injuries.
"I'm fine, no need to worry" Vivi embarrassingly mumbled as she averted her eyes from the swordsman who smiled in return.
"Hothead!" Nami snapped as she kicked Sanji off her.
"Nami-san is even more wonderful when she's angry!" Sanji swooned as he went flying.
"When is she never wonderful to you?" Robin sweat dropped.
"Hey, you there!" a new voice piped up right as Sanji crashed back down onto the ground. "Why have you come to this island?" turning their heads, the crew spotted a parrot, fuzzy purple hippo, and strange goat standing on the shoreline.
"W-what?" Usopp sputtered out, taken aback. "A bird's talking!"
"It's a parrot, of course, it can talk," Zoro said.
"Then there must be other people here" Zack hummed as he leaned his body against the railing of the ship.
"Still, they don't normally talk like that!" Nami pointed out.
"Comprehending the human tongue is a trivial task for one such as me" the parrot responded. "Though, honestly, the only animals on the island who can talk are me and Karasuke the crow."
"Cool! This is a Mystery Island!" Luffy exclaimed as he rushed up to the three animals.
"W-who are you?" the parrot nervously asked.
"Good timing! Do you know Chopper?" Luffy asked. "Chop-pa" he repeated, sounding out the reindeer's name.
"Choppa?" the parrot questioned, mispronouncing the reindeer's name.
"Its Chopper, Luffy," said Zack
" By the way, I am Zack and we are looking for our companion Chopper." said looking at the parrot.
