He always portrayed himself as a kind and considerate person, eventually blindsiding them into ignoring the red flags. Fil fell for that once until Vincent's cheating and Marcus beat Kenzo just because he could.

It was why she knew Marcus didn't approach Elise for no reason.

"I'm sorry, Fil." Elise pouted while nervously fidgeting with her fingers. "I wanted to tell you early today, but I didn't get the chance. Or I got a little scared of what you'd think."

Sitting across from Elise and Marcus, Fil forced a smile.

"It's alright," Fil said, snapping her eyes to Marcus, who sat next to Elise. "It's nice to see you, Marcus."

"The feeling is mutual, Fil." Marcus sported a friendly smile. "I didn't want you to know this way, but what's done is done."
