Chapter 46: Good night

Meanwhile… 

Fil was already dragging herself to the bathroom for a quick shower when she reached home. But as she undressed, she sniffed at her clothes. 

"I…" she paused, looking at her clothes in surprise. "... reek of him."

Suddenly, the question of Vincent getting a whiff of Jackson's scent on her crossed her mind. But remembering the look on his face, it didn't seem like he suspected anything. 

"What a fool," she snickered, smelling her shoulder blades. "I reeked of a man's perfume, but he didn't notice."

Or maybe, he noticed but was too blinded — just like her. 

"Not my problem," she muttered, throwing the clothes in the laundry to get into the shower.
