Chapter 7: trip to Hogwarts (house)
"Well, I'm a first year too," Neville said nervously.
"Wow, that's great and which house would you like to go to? Hermione and I are thinking about Ravenclaw or Gryffindor," I asked, starting a conversation.
"My grandmother says I should go to Gryffindor, my parents were there, if they put me in another house I don't want to imagine what would happen," scared, he quickly mentioned
"Kill you? I don't think a family member would do that just because they weren't in the house where their parents were, Neville," Hermione said confused.
"Well, my grandmother worries about me, she says I have to bring out my inner lion to be like my father."
"Don't worry Neville, you'll probably be in Gryffindor so your grandmother won't kill you."
"In fact I will tell you a secret about how the houses choose us"
"What? Please tell me how I'm in Gryffindor."
"When the time comes, wish it with all your will and that will cause you to be assigned to Gryffindor, with all your will"
'If we go to Gryffindor it would be nice to make Neville our friend'
"Really? Thank you, thank you very much, Henry, I hope it works. I don't want to die so soon," she said, almost sobbing.
"Don't worry, it's a small favor I'm doing, or by the way, Hermione, do you think we can review the herbal book?"
"Hey, sure, Henry."
So we started talking about herbalism while he included Neville in his field of specialty.
Then Trevor, Neville's frog, almost escaped but I managed to catch him to take care of him.
Thanks to the fact that I included it in the herbal review, it was quieter around us but we decided to rest, there were still hours before we arrived.
*Hours later*
Levandanome checked the watch that my father had given me so long ago, realizing that we would possibly arrive in about 20, 30 minutes.
Raising Hermione
"Hey Hermione, get up, it won't be long before we get there."
Shaking her a little, she only answered yes, "yes, mom, I'll just read a little more."
'I should get him a personal library if I get the chance.'
""Miss Granger, you are informed that you will be expelled if you do not stand up," I said, imitating Professor McGonagall's tone.
"What!!? No, please don't expel me, I'm begging you," he shouted as he stood up and turned around.
Raising Neville in the process
"What? Who wants to expel for sleeping, it can't be. I haven't arrived yet and I'm already going to be expelled. My grandmother will kill me." Neville was pale as a ghost.
"SILENCE! No one will be expelled. I had to get them up as quickly as possible. We're almost there and sorry for getting them up this way. I didn't expect such a strong reaction." I said, saddened for not remembering Miss, better dead than expelled.
""Henry, you almost ripped my heart out, God, I'm going to tell your mom this," she said angrily.
"Come on Hermione, what do you think if I find you a place where you can study as many books as you want without having to go to the bookstore?"
"I hear you," she said calmer
"I did some separate research on Howards and discovered mention of a secret library-like room." 'although we could also change it to make it more welcoming'
"Well, this time you're saved, but if I find out that you lied to me, I'll make Judy find out," he mentioned, it would be damn if looks could kill, I'd be dead.
"Okay for now, we'd better go out Neville so Hermione can change," I said as I got up.
"Let's go, Henry," he said, following me, although I apologized for picking him up like that and that if he was busy with something, he would tell me.
Hermione came out and we went in and changed quickly, so she came in and we talked about the magical sweets because before going to sleep we had bought a few.
A train whistle was heard and after waiting we arrived at the station.
When I was going to take down Hermione and mine's trunk Neville said
"You must leave the trunk, the house elves will take it to the room we have."
"Oh thanks Neville, that's good to know."
Walking quickly out we heard screaming
"Freshman students gather together,
Freshmen gather together
Freshmen, gather here."
A very large man was shouting 'Hagrid' I thought as I watched him interact with Harry, We headed towards it with the other boys, although I used a Lumos spell to light the way, taking care of Hermione from falling, although she also used it while we were walking.
"Is everyone okay?" He asked and no one responded "okay, follow me" leading us along a dirt road to a lake where boats were waiting that could fit 4 people.
"4 people per boat!" He said as he got into his own boat.
Quickly Hermione Neville and I headed to one a girl joined me I simply introduced myself and Hermione led the conversation next to Neville
The boat started to move when all the students got on.
Passing by the lake I mentioned "it is said that a giant squid lives in the lake, although it is very peaceful, it is believed that it was Godric Gryffindor's pet"
We came to a bridge Hagrid said
"Lower the bridgehead in front," he crouched down, although of course since we weren't as big as him, there was no need.
Passing under it we found a huge castle with a feeling of mysteries and magic surrounding it although we only saw it in the distance with the bright moon behind it.
We hit the ground after a moment where we all got off and Hagrid knocked on a door
McGonagall opened "thank you Hagrid, first year students follow me"
We go up some stairs until we reach a door.
"Behind me is the large dining room where they will be assigned their house which will be like their family, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin house has a glorious history filled with great wizards in each, "There is a points system in which the one with the most will win the cup of the year. Now wait here in line until I call your name."
Coming out so that suddenly murmurs could be heard
Draco saying that Harry has come
Introducing himself to him and Ron arguing about his family, Harry not accepting it as friendship.
Everyone was talking about how they would rate them, facing a troll, preparing a potion among others.
Neville was nervous, Hermione was whispering all the spells we practiced and I, well, I'm understanding because it was tradition not to tell them what the test was.
Suddenly the doors opened causing us to line up.
We saw a chair with a hat
who sings a song
At the end
I heard McGonagall say
"I will name them when they hear their name, they will come and I will place the hat on them that will say which house they belong to"
"Hanna,Abott"
"Hufflepuff!!" Screaming the hat said making the girl go to the table where they were applauding.
So quickly names passed
"Hermione Granger"
"Remember no matter what you choose I will be with you" I said whispering close to him.
She sat up, minutes passed until she heard herself shout "Ravenclaw"
She quickly went to sit down.
They passed Harry, Ron Draco Neville etc. It was my turn
"Henry Youngstar"
Passing by McGonagall put her hat on me and I heard her voice
"Be careful, you are interested, you have a great thirst for knowledge, undoubtedly ambitious and astute to be able to achieve it,you have worked hard for that ambition and you are not afraid of the concentrations of that knowledge, yes, certainly curious."
"Ravenclaw, please Ravenclaw It is the place of knowledge'
"Then so be it, Ravenclaw!"
"I quickly went to the table where I sat with Hermione."
Dumbledore mentioned his quote and that the room at the end of the hallway on the 3rd floor was off-limits unless you wanted to die.
Although I didn't pay attention until the food arrived, he was introducing us to the other kids and making Hermione not sound bossy or superior to the rest.
We quickly finished eating and the prefects took us through hidden corridors until we reached the copper halberd
"Well the entrance to Ravenclaw house is to answer a question given by the Halberd"
The voice of the halberd sounded "Who has experienced more a poltergeist or a ghost"
""Well, whoever wants to do the honors"
Taking a step forward I said what I hoped was the answer.
"The ghost because someone who is not could never be"
Opening the door, they congratulated me for answering correctly.
We went inside where the prefects separated us boys on the left wing and girls on the right so I said goodbye to Hermione to go to sleep.
