Chapter 6: Killing Klaus
"It's late Rebekah, we're leaving"
A man said as he grabbed Rebekah by her hands and dragged her from Stefan ruining their moment together.
"Get off me" said Rebekah as she freed herself from the man's hold.
Stefan quickly stood up and tried to protect his girl even if he meant going against the big bad wolf right now, he wouldn't mind, he also many ways to pacify his anger.
Rebekah quickly came between Stefan and the man as she did not want things to get out of hand "Stefan, don't, he will kill you, he is a lot stronger than he looks" she said as she held him.
The man just looked at Stefan as if he was looking at a child trying to challenge him.
"So this is the famous Stefan Salvatore I've been hearing so much about and you are right, he does have a funny hair" said the man which made everyone chuckle but he quickly turned a 180 degree as he became serious "I'm bored. I want to go" he said while looking at Rebekah.
"Then go without me, I'm not your girlfriend" said Rebekah as she stared at the man in the eyes.
"No, you are my sister , which means... You have to do as I say" the man replied as he dragged Rebekah close to him.
Stefan looked at the man who turned out to be Klaus Mikaelson and smiled before he brought out a dagger from his sleeves and pointed at the original.
"Let her go or I will kill you and believe me when I say so, you don't want to mess with the Ripper" said Stefan still pointing the dagger at Klaus.
Klaus laughed when he saw what Stefan wanted to use to kill him, he is an Original and no weapon can kill him, he is immortal, he is Klaus Mikaelson, he can not be brought down by lesser men.
"You will have to try better than that and make sure you kill me because if I do survive, I hunt down everyone you know and love and kill them when live the rest of your life knowing it was your fault they died" Klaus threatened him as he turned around with Rebekah.
Stefan smiled when he saw Klaus turn his back at him, using that as an advantage, he vamp - speed and stabbed the dagger through his back causing Klaus to immediately dessicated just like the other originals when daggered.
Rebekah eyes widen in shock as she saw what happened to Klaus "what is that dagger and where did you get it?" She asked Stefan with her true face out.
"Don't worry, he is not dead, just dessicated, to kill your brother, I am going to need a white oak stake which nonexistent and killing him would mean killing myself, so I would not even think about it" said Stefan trying to calm Rebekah down only to raise her suspension of him even more, seeing this he sighed "trust me, I don't mean any harm and if you think there are any more of that dagger, believe me, there is none, I am the only one who even knows and have it. Also after coming to know of your existence, I did my research and traced your origin back to when you were humans in ancient Mystic Falls, so I know everything that is to know about you and I didn't approach you because I have any agenda, no, I approached you because even with all the things you show outside to make people hate and fear you, believe you are a monster, you are kind and innocent inside, who deserves to be loved and that's the reason I approached you the moment I saw you, believe me Rebekah" he said as he went to hug her.
She hugged him back before looking at her brother "what are you going to do with him and taking out the dagger is not a very wise choice because he will kill you and make sure that dagger is destroyed" said Rebekah worriedly as she knew who her brother was, he will stop at nothing until he gets rid of what he feels like is a threat to his life.
Stefan smiled and thought her not to worry because he also has lots of hidden cards up his sleeves and he is not afraid of using them.
Over the course of his travels, he has gotten a handful of rewards from the System, just like the dagger here.
He got the dagger from his first time killing a vampire, this dagger can kill number vampires easily even if it is not aimed at the heart, as long as it is life threatening, they will die and as for the originals, it puts them into a deep sleep including Klaus and after it is removed, it will take two to three days for them to wake up.
For his first time killing a werewolf, he got the formula to make the cure to a werewolf bite which means he won't be needing Klaus's blood anymore.
He got a time limited compulsion skill that can be used on any species whether a werewolf, vampire or a witch for his first time compelling someone.
He got many other things which isn't worth mentioning now.
He removed the dagger from Klaus to which Rebekah wanted to stop him but he told her it was okay, he took the body of Klaus and placed him one if the rooms Gloria kept for him for certain occasions like this.
After placing his body, Stefan dusted himself "he will be out for at most two to three days, that should give us enough time to come up with something for him to forgive us" said Stefan who knew that by then Mikael would have arrived and Klaus would out to hit the run once again and that's when he would offer him a deal of a lifetime, one he would not want to refuse.
Rebekah shakily nodded fearful of what her brother might do to Stefan once he wakes up as she knows he would not kill her "no, this can't do, you have run, run as far away from her and never look back, I will keep my brother busy for the meantime, so please just go, run" she said as she began pushing him away.
Stefan held her hand stopping her from pushing him and looked at in her teary eyes "do you trust me? Tell me you trust me, Rebekah" Stefan asked her to which she nodded "good, then you should know that I will never leave you like this not even in a situation such as this, so don't tell me to leave you here and let you fight my battle. Believe me when I say I can be able to handle your brother, I know what I'm doing, so don't worry" he said and kissed her.
While all these was going on, someone was looking at all of these from outside the room as she clench her fists and said "I have to get him as far away from Klaus as possible as soon as this bitch is out of here. Klaus will never forgive him if he wakes up and I must also put that dagger back in its rightful place, which is in the heart of Klaus and dump his body somewhere, where it can never be found and live my life without fear of being pursued"
