Chapter 17: One Man, One Sword, Facing the Entire Knights of the Round Table

"You are invincible in battle, and even though the legends of you have been forgotten by the people of the British Isles, today you have reminded them of the name 'Knight of the Holy Light.'"

"Yet you restrain your magical power to avoid killing."

"After all, they are but ordinary guards who know nothing and have devoted their bodies and souls to King Arthur."

"Although this slows your escape from Camelot, you know it is necessary, for the sake of that king, to restrain yourself as much as possible."

"Because you do not want to leave any possibility that could disadvantage the pact between you and that king."

"You deflect a spear thrust at you, angling your sword in a strange trajectory downward to strike his right hand, disarming him and rendering him unable to fight."

"Everyone, regardless of the orders given to you by the advisor Agravain, they are without King Arthur's consent. You are the most loyal knights of King Arthur, there is no need to lose your lives here in the court of Camelot. Today's matter will be personally dealt with by the Knights of the Round Table and King Arthur himself."

"After you speak these words, they indeed have an effect, as you, who often stand side by side with King Arthur, are also an object of their reverence."

"It is at this moment that the sound of horse hooves approaches from behind."

"Leading the charge is none other than the masked knight Mordred."

"Suddenly, Mordred bursts into mad laughter, a crazed tone in his voice."

"She removes her helmet and tosses it towards the sky."

"The Knights of the Round Table and all the court guards present almost instinctively look over, only to see Mordred revealing a face strikingly similar to King Arthur's."

"I am Mordred, the child of King Arthur, the prince of the royal family of Britain, the sole heir to the throne of Camelot!"

"The atmosphere in the area freezes instantly."

"Even the Knights of the Round Table are unsettled, showing expressions of shock and disbelief."

"The court guards are even more stunned."

"Guinevere in your arms is also frozen in shock, but her reaction seems more intense. Seizing the opportunity, you spur your horse and leap out of the encirclement of the court guards, dashing through the gates of Camelot..."

Fujimaru breathes a sigh of relief.

Although unclear why Mordred chose this moment to reveal his identity, it turns out to be a fortunate event for him.

Now, all he needs to do is cross the great white gates, and then he will be as free as a bird in the sky, a fish in the ocean.

Once Guinevere is settled and he returns to Camelot before King Arthur departs for Rome, everything should return to normal.

"Don't worry, Guinevere, no one can stop us now," Fujimaru says to the still dazed Guinevere, comforting her softly.

But Guinevere asks an unrelated question: "Austin, did you already know that Sir Mordred is King Arthur's son?"

Fujimaru looks at her strangely: "Sort of, but what does that have to do with us?"

Guinevere says, "No matter what happens in the future, promise me you won't draw your sword against him, okay?"

Fujimaru wants to ask why, but seeing Guinevere's serious expression, he nods in agreement.

At that moment.

The figures of the Knights of the Round Table appear again.

The Knights of the Round Table have a total of twelve seats.

Gaheris of the second seat and Gareth of the seventh seat have died, and the next generation's Galahad has been out searching for the Holy Grail and has not yet returned.

King Pellinore, the advisor supervisor, is not present, and several Knights of the Round Table who guard the frontiers are not in Camelot.

The remaining knights, Gawain, Lancelot, Tristan, Agravain, Mordred, and Bedivere, have all come to pursue Fujimaru .

Fujimaru glances sideways, catching a glimpse of the sorrowful son Tristan.

This knight of the Round Table, the only one who wields a bow, is the one he fears the most.

Although confident in blocking Tristan's attacks, it would undoubtedly slow his escape from Camelot.

If they catch up.

Even he, while ensuring Guinevere is not captured, feels immense pressure.

Agravain, holding a spear-like weapon, points it at Fujimaru 's back: "Tristan, what are you waiting for!"

Tristan slowly opens his eyes, looking towards the east where the sky is just beginning to lighten.

Magic materializes his bow.

He doesn't need to aim, nor does he need to draw the bowstring; the magical ether, like a sound wave, ripples through the air towards Fujimaru 's back.

Fujimaru is startled.

Isn't he supposed to use a bow?

Why a magical attack?

But his reaction is swift; he releases his magic, leaning back at an incredible angle, his long sword sweeping past his upper body.

"Clang!"

Fujimaru feels as if he has struck a giant rock, Tristan's arrow of magic colliding with the sword of Revelation, causing the blade to vibrate intensely.

But the gates of Camelot are now within sight.

"In the midst of your struggle with Tristan, you leave Camelot."

"Although you have mastered Tristan's method of attack, each of his arrows brings the Knights of the Round Table a few centimeters closer to you."

"Little by little, the constant dripping wears away the stone."

"Several hours later, the distance between you and the Knights of the Round Table has shortened to within three hundred meters."

"Even though Tristan is pale as paper from magical exhaustion, you are not faring much better."

"However, you, who can share mana with nature, have hardly seen a decrease in your combat strength."

"Damn it, doesn't his magic ever run out?" Gawain stares at the retreating figure of Fujimaru with hatred.

Bedivere clenches his teeth but still says, "The Knight of the Holy Light has the blessing of the Lady of the Lake; he can share magic with nature, receiving an endless supply."

Lancelot says, "Is this why our king Arthur favors him? And the queen?"

"Hmph! Have your attacks reached him yet, you noisy fool?" Agravain coldly looks at Lancelot.

Lancelot responds with an equally cold gaze: "That would harm the queen! Fool!"

"She is no longer our queen!"

"Do you realize what you're saying? Agravain! Are you betraying our king?"

"Enough! We've been arguing all the way, isn't that enough?" Gawain interrupts angrily.

Agravain looks at Mordred: "What about you! Where is your sword light?"

Mordred grins: "Sorry, Agravain the advisor, I will not draw my sword until I receive my father's command."

Tristan remains silent throughout.

At that moment.

They see Fujimaru dismount in front of them, whisper something to Guinevere, then with a slap on the horse's back, the white horse carries Guinevere away at full speed.

And Fujimaru , he stands in their way.

One man, one sword.

Facing the entire Knights of the Round Table.
