Chapter 13 The time gained Audiences against higher being

"What in the world just happened?" Cocolia exclaimed, looking at the path of destruction Rei had caused. The kid was already sleeping.

Noticing Cocolia's gaze, Alexandra said, "We can ask him later. I hope you won't press him if he doesn't want to talk about his power."

Cocolia nodded in agreement. She knew how dangerous his existence was. If the government got hold of him, they would surely turn him into a weapon or a lab rat.

"Rei!"

Alexandra was about to say something but stopped when she heard a shout from a distance. They saw a little girl in a nun outfit carrying a huge golden cross on her back. Her white, silky hair swayed in the wind as she arrived in front of Alexandra.

"Is he okay? What happened to him? His whole body is full of rampaging Honkai energy," she asked, tearing off his clothes. "This is—!"

"What are you doing?" Alexandra shouted, seeing the little girl strip Rei in the middle of the snow. She was shocked to see purple lines on his body and a glowing mark on his back.

"Signs of Honkai Corruption!" the girl exclaimed in horror. "I will save you no matter what." She lifted Rei but suddenly stopped.

"The Honkai Corruption in his body is being cured?!" She was shocked. The purple lines vanished, then reappeared. "Right, the stigmata! An awakening of stigmata. He was probably the cause of this destruction, am I right?" she questioned Alexandra and Cocolia.

'His body is probably adapting to the stigmata, but his safety isn't confirmed,' Theresa thought, looking at him with worry. 'There's only a small chance for males to survive with stigmata, much lower than for females, to the point that they almost don't exist.'

The two stayed silent, not saying a word.

"Good decision. You won't tell me anything because you think I might do something to him, right?" she asked, but they remained silent.

"Don't worry. I'm his aunt, and I will gladly fight my grandpa for his freedom. No, I will make sure he never knows about Rei's existence until Rei can protect himself," she muttered, kissing Rei's forehead. "Ouch!"

She covered her mouth, which had a small cut. "What in the—" She tried to touch his head again, and another small cut appeared.

She didn't worry about her wound as it healed in seconds. "What's happening?"

She tried to touch him again, and there was no wound or stinging sensation. "Weird," she muttered with a sigh.

Then she noticed that a wound appeared every time the sign of corruption showed up.

So she did the most obvious thing: she touched him when the purple line around his body was gone, and it didn't leave a single wound on her. Then she touched him again when the purple line showed up, and a wound appeared.

"This might be bad," Theresa muttered and immediately contacted Siegfried. "Siegfried, we might need your help here!"

"Theresa? What's happening?" he asked, alarmed by Theresa's sudden call.

"Cecelia's nephew might be in critical condition," Theresa explained, looking thoughtfully at Rei. "He awakened a stigmata and is now showing Honkai reaction, but his body is fighting back. His body might be burdened by what's happening."

"I'm on my way. Where are you?" Siegfried asked.

Theresa gave her location and looked at the other two who were with Rei.

"Thank you both for saving my nephew and taking care of him," Theresa expressed her gratitude.

...

-Rei POV-

I feel like I'm getting swarmed by water. Am I underwater?

I question this as I open my eyes to see that everything around me is white.

What a weird place this is. Now I need to figure out how to get out of here.

"Interesting." A voice makes me jerk and look behind me. I see a throne with a statue that looks like Sirin seated on it. "A person who wasn't supposed to exist on this plane. No, the whole tree doesn't even have a record of you."

"Now I wonder if I missed something." The being said, seemingly looking at me. "Who are you?"

"Rei Gojo," I answered immediately. I don't know how to get out of this place, but I'm sure this being knows a way out.

"Once I finish talking to you, you'll be sent back to your body," the being said.

So she can read my thoughts. Neat.

"Hmm... You have two bodies. The other one isn't in the imaginary tree and is an adult. No wonder your soul is a grown-up version of that child-like body you have here."

Eh, she found out about my ability to simulate other bodies?

The being suddenly stands up from her throne, and a huge weight falls on me, forcing me to kneel on the white ground.

"You might become the thing we want to happen to humanity," it said as she slowly walked towards me. "The main goal of Honkai is to be defeated by a human, to see what humans can achieve to reach the higher realm."

"And here you are... A mortal who can travel through various realms with just a single thought. I don't know if you are lucky or unlucky to end up here on your first use of that ability." She paused for a moment as she reached out to touch my cheeks, inspecting my face. "I see, I thought your ability was like a system, but it's not. Hmm, should I use Prometheus or Alaya?"

"Reaching Prometheus would be hard right now," she said, continuing her inspection.

"I have Alaya," I said without thinking.

"Oh?" She raised an eyebrow at me. "Then I'll integrate her into your ability to prevent you from ending up in dangerous places like this again."

"By the way, do you know what you did using your time ability?" She asked, looking at me intently.

"Yes," I answered. "Using time, I cut something in the middle. How can I explain it again?"

"Ah," I said, reaching a conclusion on how to explain my ability. "For example, if I'm riding a bike and bump into a truck, giving me a wound on my forehead, I can use my ability to cut out the moment I bump into the truck, making the wound disappear."

"Using that example, I tried to use it as an attack. I compressed photon light into a single line, then, like a movie, I made it repeat its action from the start. This wouldn't affect the stacked photon; instead, it would get multiplied."

It's kinda complicated and hard to explain as it's my first time using it and I didn't even know that it would work.

The being looked at me as if I were crazy. "You're such a monster. Such a creative way of manipulating time that it affects reality. It's not time manipulation anymore but reality manipulation, and a mere human wields it like it's a simple ability. This shows how talented you are."

"I'm a genius after all," I said, scratching my nose and smirking at her. "This might be late, but who are you?"

The being looked at me and laughed heartily. "Pardon me, it looks like I forgot to introduce myself."

"I am the god Yog-Sothoth," she declared. Her appearance became surreal and ethereal, surrounded by bubbles and a radiant glow. This form seemed to embody a connection to forbidden knowledge and the power to break the rules of time and space.

"Do you want me to take your body into my realm?" she asked, looking at me. Just hearing her name was enough to scare me, and now she wanted to take my body into her realm.

"No, I don't think it's a good idea," I answered, fearing she might get angry. But she just nodded in agreement.

"Yeah, going into my realm is not a good idea. It's full of loneliness, and with my infinite knowledge, everything is predictable. Yet here you are; I can't predict your future. That's why you have my blessing—every adventure of yours will entertain me. Don't worry, I'm not going to interfere with your life if you want to live a normal one," she explained.

As if a burden was lifted from my body, I fell to the ground and let out a huge sigh of relief.

"Am I really that scary?" she asked the most difficult question. I still wanted to live, yet her question might cost my life.

Yog-Sothoth, often adapted from H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos, combines elements of cosmic horror. She is depicted as a powerful and enigmatic being with immense knowledge and influence over space and time. She has access to vast amounts of forbidden knowledge, which she can use to her advantage or to assist others, depending on her motives.

People who encounter her might receive her blessings, which come with their own set of challenges and consequences. Her gifts are often double-edged, providing great power but also significant risk.

Her character is portrayed as wise and somewhat aloof, embodying the dangerous allure of forbidden knowledge. Despite her intimidating nature, she is curious about humans, especially those who are unpredictable.

Although she offers her assistance, it seems she is driven by her desire for entertainment or curiosity about human nature.

"Most of your thoughts about me are correct, and some are wrong, but I won't make an effort to correct them," she said with a smile and tapped my forehead. "I'm going to end our talk here. I'll see you soon once you finish your simulation. You don't need to worry about not being able to use Alaya anymore. She can materialize in front of you despite being connected to your soul."

"Just think of her, and she'll show up in any appearance you want," she explained as everything went blank.

...

Looking up at the unfamiliar ceiling, I couldn't help but groan at the experience of meeting an outer god.

"Rei, you're awake!" a familiar voice said, hugging me tightly.

"Where am I?" I asked, looking at Theresa, a petite young girl who was older than my mother.

She frowned at me and said, "Are you thinking bad things about me?"

"What are you talking about?" I asked, trying to change the topic.

Women and their instincts to insult.
