Chapter 14: 4
In Chapter 4, Mr. João is tied to a chair, covered in blood, while Huguel's soldiers try to make him confess. When Mr. João refuses to confess, they intensify the brutal tortures even further, in a desperate attempt to get the truth out of him.
Meanwhile, Huguel keeps his promise and takes Felicia and Berth for a tour of the homeless man's mansion. There, they have the opportunity to meet the residents and see the conditions in which they live up close.
During the tour, Huguel hopes that Felicia and Berth understand the importance of helping those less fortunate and become aware of the reality of people living on the streets. He hopes that this experience will make them reflect on social issues and inspire them to take action to improve the lives of these people.
