"Not at all, aunt. I just came around to take a bite with my friends here, right?" Trent lied and turned to Damon, his assistant for confirmation, who couldn't help but take in a sharp breath before nodding in agreement.

'Why was boss lying through his teeth?'

They were here to meet an investor to discuss a huge business deal. Was he going to stand the person up? 

His heart sank when the import of what his boss was about to do hit him and sure enough the next minute, his boss said,

"I know they wouldn't mind entertaining each other while I accompany my darling aunt some more. Or do you?" Trent asked him again and smiled so sweetly at him that he instantly developed goosebumps all over his body. 

Was he expecting him to say no? Was he tired of living?
