To their left was a small beverage bar.
Xavier took a bottle of fruit juice from the mini-fridge, opened it, and handed it to Hera.
She smiled appreciatively.
"Thank you," she said.
Before she could reach for it, however, Leo had already extended his hand, making it easier for her to take the bottle without leaning forward.
Xavier simply raised an eyebrow but said nothing.
They all began chatting casually about the upcoming race, none of them showing a trace of worry or nerves.
Hera's assurance about having a car ready left them feeling at ease; they knew she wasn't one to make empty promises or brag.
If she said she had a car, they trusted she meant it.
Instead of worrying, they found themselves eagerly anticipating what kind of car she would reveal.
"Are you nervous?" Leo asked softly, massaging Hera's hand in an attempt to calm her.
But Hera wasn't feeling nervous—she was feeling irritated.
