Chapter 40: 5.13:The Way Of The Voice
Tirdas, 19th of Last Seed, 4E201:
8:45 AM:
The sun was shining bright. A blond woman sat under the shade of a tree to hide from it. Her eyes were set on a hard-working individual, working on the Mill in front of her. Seeing him work so hard, her lips formed a small smile, as her tired eyes slowly closed, and she drifted to dreamland soon
after.
Her back leaned on the tree trunk, her knees up, her head rested on them, as she slept peacefully.
9:57 AM:
Darius continued to work on the Mill, hooking a log, and dragging it on top of the sliding carriage, it carried it through the saw, cutting it in two, falling on the other already-cut logs.
He had already cut around 17-20 logs, he was not tired but bored, watching the action of cutting a log, repeat, again and again.
As he was thinking of something, Lydia and Uthgerd arrived, "You're finally awake," he said to Lydia while chuckling to himself.
Darius's eyes fell on Gerdur, seeing that she was asleep, "Now, Minions move up here, and get to work, both of you," He ordered with a smile.
Lydia was looking away from him, not meeting his eyes as she remembered the ordeal of last night.
But she still nodded her head, on her side, Uthgerd, her lips twitched, but she also nodded, both of them got on the Mill, and took over.
"25 logs," He told them as he made his way down, stopping for a moment, "Is Camilla awake?" He asked, and they both shrugged their shoulders.
He nodded, and made his way to Gerdur, sitting next to her, seeing the peacefulness on her face, he didn't want to disturb it, He straightened his legs on the ground, slowly putting her head on his lap, and stroked her hair, as gently as possible, as she continued to sleep like a baby.

10:45 AM:
It was almost eleven. Uthgerd and Lydia were drenched in sweat, but the work was done. They stood in front of Darius, watching him sleep peacefully, Uthgerd had a tick on her forehead, "Son of a bitch," she said out loud.
Lydia looked at her with a worried face, "What if he hears that?" she asked in a low voice.
"I did," A voice said.
Uthgerd looked toward the tree. Darius had his eyes open, and he looked at her with a stern expression. Uthgerd gave him the fakest smile someone could muster, not helping the situation.
Darius didn't care though so he dismissed them, telling them to wait in Riverwood trader.
After they had left, he woke up Gerdur from her sleep, she slowly opened her eyes, she turned up, lying on her back now, she looked at him, smiling at her, "What do you think? is it a good time to wake you up?" He asked.
She giggled and sat up, "Yes," she said while doing so.
Before she could get up, he pulled her back, her back on his lap, as he brought his lips to hers.
Mmm~
After a deep kiss, he let her go, and they stood up from the ground, "So, when are you leaving for High Hrothgar?" She asked, he had told them about it last night.
"Yeah, I was planning to leave early in the morning," He said, gesturing to the Mill, "Oh! Sorry about that," She said, looking away, a little embarrassed.
"Don't be," He said and hugged her, "It's done now anyway, I'll be leaving soo-" As he said that, 3 big carriages arrived.
"Look, they are here for the wood," He said letting her go from his embrace, she turned around to look, "Haa~ Finally," she sighed.
He again embraced her from the back, turning her face to him with his finger on her chin, kissing her.
"I'll leave it to you then," He said, and she nodded. Since there were five men to put the logs on the carriage, he didn't need to worry.

He was inside Riverwood trader bidding goodbye to Camilla, as she was still tired from last night's 'workout'
He got out of the Riverwood trader and remembered something.

Darius was standing inside the Sleeping Giant Inn, looking for someone, and that someone was nowhere to be found.
He said and moved to the wooden counter, and standing behind it was, Orgnar, "What can I get you?" he asked.
"There's a woman who works here, blonde-haired and blue eyes?" Darius said.
"Oh Elise, she's out for a few days, why do you ask?" Orgnar said.
'Hmm, "Elise" a guise maybe?' Darius thought to himself.
"No, nothing, I just heard about her from a friend, and wanted to see if she was as beautiful as he said her to be," He said, giving him a cheeky smile.
Orgnar and Darius chatted for a bit. Darius left the Inn and bid farewell to Gerdur as well, He was about to leave when he saw Sigrid, standing on the porch of her house next to the smithing area.
He walked toward her, "What's going on?" he asked as he had not seen her since this morning.
As if startled she shook, and looked at him. With a small sigh, "N-nothing, I-Its j-just Alvor," she replied in a low voice and stopped mid-sentence.
"What happened?" He asked, now remembering what Alvor had told him.
'Is it time?' He wondered.
"He was vomiting, a lot, after eating breakfast and has been lying in bed ever since," she said.
"What did you feed him," He said to lighten the mood, but looking at her frowned eyes, he got to know it wasn't a very good time to be making jokes.
"Sorry," He apologized, "But, don't worry, he'll be fine," He reassured her.
Sigrid nodded, and Darius bid her goodbye as well.

Darius, and behind him, Lydia, Uthgerd, stood at the West entry of Riverwood, the path that led to Helgen.
