Chapter 298: Whose Fault Was It Then?

Dimitri was a psychopath. He might decide to have her searched and if he found it,it would be game over for everyone. Caesar would personally kill her. 

And as someone who'd been in this sort of situation and slipped once, she wouldn't be making the same mistake twice.

She washed her hands in the bathroom as though she'd used it and left, making her way back to the living room to meet up with Dimitri. 

"Are you done?" He asked. 

Vera nodded with a soft smile and walked up to him, so they could leave. But Dimitri stood up from his seat and gave a nod to Mikhail. 

Mikhail approached Vera and took her purse to search through it. 

"That's very rude of you, Dimitri," she smiled softly at him. She'd seen it coming. "I might ghost you after this." 

"But, why would you?" Dimitri asked, and moved closer to grab her chin in between his thumb and index finger. "I like you, but i can't trust you so easily. I've only just met you after all."
