Twenty minutes later, they were back on the road, driving down to the location where they would meet Nikolai.

"You're really happy, aren't you?" Caesar glanced at her, his lip curving into a side grin.

"Of course I am. Did you see the look on their faces? Do you know how much that old man would be losing? Probably enough so, he might not come back even in two days," Adeline reasoned, attempting to take off a few strands of her hair that were latched onto her face as a result of the heavy wind. This was due to the opened window of the car.

Caesar chuckled. 

"It felt so good to see him humiliated. He looked like he wished the ground could crack open. And as for Dimitri..." She spread her arms with closed eyes and took a deep breath. "I wanted to get back at him for pouring that wine on me, but this is enough. More than enough to be honest."

"Did you do it for me, Caesar?" she asked, blinking her left eye open to glimpse him.
