Although the peace treaty with the Sand Village at the River Country battlefield hasn't been signed yet, the village has already begun spreading the good news.

The pressure from the recent wars had cast a shadow over the village, and defeating the Sand Village allowed Konoha to breathe a sigh of relief and puff its chest out with pride.

Previously, after defeating the Cloud Village, even though the Cloud ninjas attempted to shift the blame for their failed attempt to steal and kill the Two-Tails onto Konoha and did not continue to sign the defeat documents, they also did not station ninjas in the Hot Water Country.

This has made the Hot Water Country a buffer zone between Konoha and the Cloud Village. Since then, the Cloud has sent envoys to negotiate, wanting them to sign the defeat documents and return the Two-Tails.

However, the Konoha leadership couldn't comply with such demands, so the issue was dragged out.

Though the Cloud Village was defeated, they didn't officially acknowledge it without the defeat documents, and they could restart the war at any time, though they haven't stationed in the Hot Water Country yet.

This time, the Sand truly intends to concede defeat, but they don't want to lose face officially, so they've opted for a peace treaty instead, implying that no one lost, but they no longer wish to continue the war for peace.

As for the contents of the peace treaty, such as task commissions and resource sharing in the River Country, these will be decided through negotiations; however, Sand is likely to gain nothing, being the loser in this war.

...

Konoha Security Force

Over the past two months, the reputation within Konoha has seen a fresh start, bringing a new light to everyone's eyes.

The authority remains as stringent as before, and the enforcement is relentless, leaving no room for pleas; however, the enforcement style and procedures of the security force have completely changed, and the enforcement regulations have been made public to all villagers.

Yōichi, unable to handle the daily minutiae, called a meeting of the security force captains soon after becoming the captain himself.

He established detailed punishment regulations, specifying from spitting disorderly – first a warning, then a fine, up to espionage – twenty years of imprisonment or the death penalty.

Yōichi compiled all previous enforcement standards of the security force, then crafted a detailed set of disciplinary regulations, and erected notice boards in five places throughout the village, north, south, east, west, and center, posting these regulations.

After half a month of public display, the regulations were implemented.

Anyone breaking the law would be arrested according to these regulations.

With the display boards and enforcement regulations in place, villagers and ninjas knew what was expected of them and the consequences if caught, which were also posted publicly, preventing any rumors against the security force and instead leading to public disdain for violators.

After these changes, Yōichi felt a significant reduction in his burden, with 80% of minor village matters now decidable by the squad captains of the security force.

The remaining 15% could be decided by the four sub-captains and sent directly to Konoha's prison.

Only the last 5% of cases Uchiha Yōichi's attention.

After the reform of the security force, its public image greatly improved, silencing those who had accused Uchiha of arbitrary law enforcement, as spreading rumors also became a punishable offense, with a minimum of three days detention and a fine of 1,000 ryō, or up to a year for severe cases.

Moreover, the security force began recruiting non-Uchiha clan ninjas, with Yōichi planning to balance the ratio of Uchiha to non-Uchiha at half and half, freeing more clan members to expand the clan's influence in the ninja world.

Sticking only to security duties in the village was pointless; better to build the Uchiha's reputation.

After this news spread, village ninjas were initially skeptical, but the recruitment notice posted on the board confirmed Yōichi was serious.

Subsequently, eleven applications were received, with seven becoming successful recruits to the security force, though all were Genin, capable of patrolling and handling villagers who violated regulations.

After a month of training, they would be ready for official duty.

Moreover, Yōichi personally ordered equality within the security force; anyone defying his orders would face consequences.

After Yōichi's stern warning, the seven new Genin, after some time in the security force, felt that the Uchihas were not as fearsome as rumored, and found the benefits within the security force far better than those for a Genin on missions.

Uchiha's supermarket and gourmet area were also constructed, with Mikoto busy for a long time and hiring several skilled chefs to recreate several dishes from Yōichi's memory, achieving about 80-90% authenticity.

On opening day, the supermarket was nearly full, with consumers on the third and fourth floors almost exclusively from the Uchiha clan.

The first and second floors catered to lower spending, affordable for ordinary people, while the upper floors offered luxury goods like top-quality fresh seafood, expensive beef, and daily limited supply of magical goat.

Not many civilians could afford to shop on the third and fourth floors; mostly ninjas, predominantly Uchiha, because their monthly benefits made everyone envious, even the Hyūga couldn't compare.

These changes were all made under the new clan leader Yōichi, including the welfare funds, the supermarket, and the gourmet area, as well as the gradually changing reputation of the security force.

In just a few months, Yōichi's reputation within the clan soared, even among peace-oriented clan members, who increasingly respected him for his rule-based governance.

---

Today, after returning from the Hokage building, Yōichi called for Masato and Shisui, the latter taking over the security force sub-captain role from Hachidai.

Although Shisui was part of the peace faction and temporarily fostered Itachi, after the news of Hachidai's sacrifice reached, Yōichi still inquired with Shisui, who then accepted the role of security force sub-captain.

"Masato-senpai, Shisui-san, the Third Hokage plans to hold a Chunin Exam, but this time he's inviting many small country ninjas to participate in a highly fatal exam. After you return, ask around to see which clan members are willing to participate."

Yōichi brought them together to discuss the matter just informed by Hiruzen.

"With the wars against Cloud and Sand ending, the village's power has waned somewhat, so some small countries have started to act up. Konoha plans to host a Chunin Exam to showcase its military strength, especially since last year's exam was postponed."

It is now the 48th year of Konoha, and initially, Yōichi had planned for Mina and others to participate in the 47th year's Chunin Exam, but it was postponed due to the village facing war.

Now that the war is over, but small countries think the major powers are weakened and want to challenge Konoha, often causing incidents like snatching mission commissions and border frictions.

These are provocative acts, but starting a war over them to teach these small ninja villages a lesson is something Hiruzen wouldn't do; Yōichi, however, thought it was a good idea.

Directly deploying ninjas to attack, winning, and then making the small ninja villages bear all losses and compensate double; a one-time painful lesson would teach them not to provoke again.

However, Hiruzen insists on using the Chunin Exam to demonstrate Konoha's military power, inviting all neighboring small countries, including the recently allied Rain Village.

"Make it clear to the clan's Genin, this exam will have a very high mortality rate, not just a failure rate. I estimate the mortality rate might be over half; do not let weak Genin participate, wait for the next one."

Masato and Shisui nodded in understanding after hearing this: "I understand, clan leader."

A 50% mortality rate was indeed terrifying; if Konoha sent out one hundred Genin, less than ten might advance to Chunin.

After they left, Yōichi also received a message from a shadow clone that Mina and two others decided to participate in this Chunin Exam.

Their strength was adequate, and having experienced the battlefield with good team coordination, even with the high danger of this exam, Mina and her team had a good chance of advancing to Chunin.

Moreover, Yōichi allowed them to concede at critical moments, as long as they didn't lose their lives, they could continue to participate in next year's Chunin Exam; under normal circumstances, all three would have no issues, only this time was an exception.

"Should be back by now."

Yōichi sensed Gates' proximity and discovered he was near the village, so he stood up and walked outside.

After the reform of the security force, Yōichi was much relieved, no longer needing to check in daily at the security headquarters; if there were matters the four sub-captains couldn't handle, someone would come to report to him.

Now that Mina and Gates were returning, naturally, Yōichi wouldn't stay in the dull security force building.

As he reached the Konoha gate, the returning team was just entering through the Konoha gate.

Mina had sensed Yōichi's chakra early on, and upon entering the village, she saw Yōichi's figure and hurriedly said to the person next to her:

"Mamē-senpai, please take care of the wounded, I have something urgent."

The medical Jōnin Mamē, seeing the somewhat anxious Mina and spotting Yōichi in the distance, said with a smile: "That must be the Yōichi-sama you often talk about in your dreams, our village's Konoha Raijin."

"Mamē-senpai~, I don't talk in my sleep."

Mina bashfully replied, indeed often talking in her sleep, but denied it upon waking because it was embarrassing to reveal those dreamy details.

Mamē responded: "Go ahead, I'll handle the rest. You've worked harder than any of us on the battlefield; you deserve a good rest after getting back."

"Thank you, Mamē-senpai, I'll report to the Konoha Hospital tomorrow!"

After saying this, Mina ran towards where Yōichi was standing, quickly surpassing Gates and approaching Yōichi, then couldn't help but hug him.

However, upon hugging Yōichi, Mina realized it wasn't appropriate, fearing she might lose control in public.

But after closing her eyes and tensing up for a moment, waiting for the embarrassing sensation, she slowly opened her eyes, confused by the lack of response.

"Mina, you're hugging too tight!"

Yōichi said, though soft, it was on the street, and more people were gathering; it still didn't compare to Mikoto.

"Sorry, Yōichi-sama, I got a bit carried away."

Mina chuckled, then looking up, asked: "Yōichi-sama, were you waiting for me?"

"No, I was waiting for Gates."

"Hmph."

Mina, seeing Yōichi's smile, knew he was joking with her, but still felt a bit disappointed not hearing the answer she wanted, so she kept bumping her head against Yōichi's chest.

"Let's go back first, I've arranged for lunch to be sent to the house, you must be hungry after the journey, and yes, Gates, you too."

Gates was about to roar with questions, but upon hearing Yōichi's words, stayed silent.

However, seeing Gates approaching, Mina stretched out her leg to nudge Gates, telling it to keep its distance and not disturb them over food.

On the way back, passing by Uchiha's supermarket and gourmet area, these developments had sprung up during Mina's six months away from the village, and more entertainment venues would continue to appear.

Now Yōichi had invested heavily outside, just needing time and peace for Konoha to become the leading metropolis in the ninja world.

When they reached the house, Yōichi suddenly remembered something Mikoto had at home that Mina wasn't aware of yet, including the matter with the wooden man.

Hearing someone enter, Mikoto came to the door and seeing Mina was a bit surprised, instantly understanding why Yōichi had bought so much food today; though a bit jealous, Mikoto still smiled and said:

"Welcome back, the ordered food has arrived, come in and wash up for lunch, and Mina, welcome back."

"Ah? Oh, okay."

Mina, seeing Mikoto wearing a scarf suddenly walking out from inside, hadn't reacted yet, just nodding and starting to change shoes.

But she quickly realized, isn't she the wife of the clan leader of the Uchiha? Why is she here in the house with Yōichi-sama?

And the way she just spoke and stood, it was so much like a lady of the house.

"Yōichi-sama, what's going on? I remember she's the clan leader's wife, why is she here?"

As Mikoto turned to leave for the dining room, Mina quickly tugged at Yōichi's sleeve and whispered.

She suddenly felt like her place in the home was being usurped, her internal alarms blaring loudly.

"Mina, this is complicated, let's eat first, and I'll explain afterwards. There's also a young girl inside, she's the Two-Tails Jinchūriki from the Cloud Village."

Yōichi said to Mina, technically Mikoto is still the clan leader's wife, but now that he's the clan leader.

The lunch was a joyful affair for Mina and Yugito. Mina had been stationed at Kikyō Castle for half a year, accustomed to subsisting on ration pills and instant meals during wartime, with even peacetime meals being rather plain.

Yugito purely did not comply; she could indulge in better food when she behaved, but if she acted poorly, like making disgusted faces or insulting Yōichi as a 'pervert', she would have to make a single bowl of ramen last two meals.

Today's lunch featured many dishes inspired by Yōichi, like hot pot, a dish originally not found in the ninja world, which greatly appealed to Mina's taste.

"It's really delicious, Yōichi-sama, let's always order lunch from here."

Mina, satisfied, patted her stomach. Previously, she and Yōichi never cooked, always hiring someone to prepare meals; but today's meal had her hooked, wishing she could eat it every day.

"Mina, if you're thirsty, have some tea."

Mikoto smiled as she served several cups of tea, even providing one for Yugito, who slightly bowed her head and thanked her.

"Thank you, Mikoto-san. Let me clean up the rest."

Seeing Mikoto serving tea and then moving to tidy up the messy dining table, Mina quickly offered to help.

However, Mikoto gently refused, "Don't worry, Mina, you've just returned. Rest a bit more."

"Ah."

Mina found Mikoto's tone odd. Wasn't she the clan leader's wife? Why was she so diligently working in Yōichi-sama's house, even sharing lunch like the lady of the house?

A thought flashed through Mina's mind, stirring a growing sense of irritation within her.

After Mikoto finished cleaning up, she softly said to Yōichi, "I'm going out now, I need to spend some time with Itachi."

Yōichi nodded, "Alright, you go."

Once Mikoto left the house, Mina eagerly sat next to Yōichi, her cheeks puffed up.

Yet, she didn't dare to ask too many questions, looking like a suddenly deflated squirrel, and tugged at Uchiha Yōichi's sleeve with a slightly aggrieved tone, "Yōichi-sama, what about Mikoto-san just now?"

Mina wanted to say she took her place, but she couldn't get the words out. It seemed like she didn't have a place by Yōichi-sama's side; previously, her role was more akin to that of a subordinate, and though she had grown bolder over time, there was no substantial breakthrough before she left for the front lines.

Progress was only made in dreams, but those were just dreams.

She had been busy on the battlefield, completely unaware of the changes within the Uchiha clan.

Although several Uchiha ninjas had joined her on the field, they didn't know each other, so they hadn't discussed clan matters with Mina.

This meant Mina was still unaware that Yōichi had become the clan leader. She only knew about the supermarket and gourmet area they passed by earlier, which were Yōichi-sama's creations.

"Heh."

Yugito, holding a teacup in both hands, let out a smug chuckle at the scene, curious to see how this infamous flirt would handle the situation after having disturbed her sleep so often.

However, Yōichi simply turned his head and told Yugito, "Go back to your room to drink tea, or else go to the courtyard."

"Hmph!"

Yugito, upset that she wasn't allowed to watch the drama, huffed and stood up to leave, taking her teacup with her; the tea was quite tasty, making her feel warm inside.

After Yugito left, Yōichi didn't hide the recent events from Mina, though he glossed over some details, given the unsuitability of discussing the seduction of the clan leader's wife outright.

He summarized it simply: the clan leader had changed, but the clan leader's wife hadn't; he and Mikoto were now together, though not married, and Fugaku had defected, among other things.

Mina was shocked upon hearing this, unable to believe so much had changed in just half a year.

However, what truly bothered her was hearing about Mikoto and Yōichi being together. She felt so aggrieved she clung to Yōichi's clothes, unwilling to let go, repeatedly murmuring, "I was here first. If only I hadn't gone to the front lines."

"Yōichi-sama, what should I do?"

Mina looked at Yōichi with hopeful eyes, wishing he would leave Mikoto for her.

"Let's be together, all three of us, Mina, you know I'm responsible, and I won't let you go."

Yōichi shamelessly proposed, but he truly wouldn't let Mina go; her unique chakra and constitution, having awakened the Kagura Mind's Eye and Adamantine Sealing Chains, had bound her to him since their encounter.

"Three people? How can that be... Yōichi-sama, that's too perverted, how can it work?"

Mina was initially shocked, then desperately shook Yōichi's sleeve, hoping he would suggest another way, too scared to ask but wishing he would volunteer another solution.

"Which is more perverted, that or being in a dark room with a closet full of 'XX' expecting me to use 'XX' to spank you?"

Yōichi, expressionless, recalled events from a few months ago in a dream space.

Mina, upon hearing this, was mortified, her eyes nearly popping out—how did Yōichi-sama know about her dream? It was so embarrassing!

Mina then hung her head, murmuring, "Yōichi-sama, what are you talking about, I don't know..."

"Is that so? Then you don't know about these either?"

Yōichi continued listing several 'XX's', with Mina's face reddening more with each mention, until her cheeks were as red as apples, overwhelmed by embarrassment.

"Ahhh, Yōichi-sama, no more!!"

Mina's shyness exploded, and she hastily covered Yōichi's mouth, then repeatedly bumped her head against his chest, insisting, "I don't know, you're talking about things I don't know."

How could Yōichi-sama know about things from her dream? Was that strange dream related to him? Every day she was compelled to study forbidden jutsu seals, eventually even involving Hashirama cells experiments.

Thinking this, Mina hastily asked, "Yōichi-sama, about the dream where I kept studying forbidden jutsu seals..."

"You just realized? Ah, I didn't think I'd need 'XX' uh..."

Before Yōichi could finish, Mina again covered his mouth, her embarrassment exploding, unable to believe her dream affairs were known to him.

The pair sat quietly in the living room for a while, and in her haste to silence Yōichi, Mina ended up sitting on his lap. Just as Mina felt uncomfortable and shifted slightly, it only stirred Yōichi further.

Yesterday and the day before, it was Mikoto's rest day, which wasn't friendly for a vigorous young man like Yōichi.

Thus, Yōichi simply picked up Mina and headed upstairs, understanding her reluctance, but knowing she would accept if he was assertive.

"Yōichi-sama, what are you doing?"

"Going upstairs to rest."

"This... this isn't right."

Mina muttered, head down, but her hands were quietly wrapped around Yōichi's waist, not wanting to be left behind by others, unwilling to part from Yōichi-sama.

"If it's not right, then it's not right, but you can refuse, and I can refuse your refusal."

Yōichi ignored Mina's protest and continued upstairs.

Meanwhile, in a room at the end of the first floor, Yugito pressed her little head against the door, her ears flush against the crack.

She had faintly heard some noises but couldn't make out the content, though she heard the footsteps, which seemed like someone going upstairs.

"Is it over just like that? Where's the big commotion?"

Yugito was puzzled, listening at the door a while longer before the footsteps ceased, then she quietly opened the door to check the living room.

"Nobody? Did they all go upstairs? But it was clearly just one set of footsteps."

Yugito was confused, but soon, a familiar voice from upstairs caused her cheeks to blush.

Those moans and groans had been disturbing her sleep for days.

"How can she not have any pride!?"

Yugito, face flushed, listened a moment, then involuntarily started rubbing her legs together, but realizing what she was doing, she quickly stopped, thinking, 'I can't let this affect me!'.

She then returned to her room and covered herself with a blanket, though this time, she left her head exposed.

---

"Such impolite people, really think they can go anywhere."

Orochimaru walked out of his research base, nearly ready to kill the Root ninja if not for the breakthrough in his experiment.

He was aware of the gravity of killing a fellow villager, so he retracted the snakes entwined around the Root ninja and coldly stated, "Go back and tell Danzō, I have nothing to discuss with him."

He no longer needed Danzō's resources; if he wanted jutsu or resources, he could just ask the Uchiha clan, as Root could only offer him limited assistance.

Moreover, Orochimaru planned a trip to the Ryūchi Cave to master two types of Sage Jutsu; he really had no time for Danzō's games.

The Root ninja said, "Orochimaru-sama, Danzō-sama said this time you'd definitely be interested, he can obtain the power of the First Hokage and the Second Hokage's research on it."

"Hmm?"

Orochimaru paused, having missed the recent conflict over the Sharingan among the clan leaders a few months ago; intrigued by the mention of Wood Style, he became interested.

"I don't have time now, tell him I'll visit Root when I can."

"I'll convey your message to Danzō-sama."

After the Root ninja departed, Orochimaru mused with a smirk, "The power of Wood Style... Yōichi-kun must be interested."

He was keen to research both the Sharingan and Wood Style; he regretted not witnessing the Sharingan's power, which was said to rival the Eight-Tails on the battlefield.

"Before heading to the Ryūchi Cave, I'll visit Yōichi."

He had nearly mastered a perfect form of Sage Mode, with a balanced 1:1:1 ratio of Senjutsu chakra in his body, and believed his Senjutsu chakra could last a long time once activated, sustaining for ten minutes.

As per the agreement, Orochimaru needed to deliver this perfected Sage Transformation to Yōichi.

Then, he planned to inquire if Yōichi was interested in continuing their cooperation, offering to trade his research on Wood Style for the Sharingan; this way, he could also negotiate with Danzō using the Sharingan to obtain Wood Style.

Orochimaru believed both parties would find this proposition appealing.

Elsewhere, at Yōichi's home.

"Yes, I understand, then I'll wait for you to return, Yōichi-sama!"

Mina nodded, thrilled to hear that Mikoto wouldn't be coming over tonight, looking forward to spending a romantic evening alone with Yōichi-sama.

Only her lower body was a bit sore, but she planned to treat it later.

Suddenly, the doorbell rang downstairs; Yōichi gestured for Mina to rest, then dressed and went down.

"Orochimaru? What brings you here so late?"

Surprised to see who was at the door, Yōichi wondered why this man would visit just as it was getting dark.

Since Yōichi had activated his Mangekyō Sharingan and become the clan leader, he had altered how he addressed Orochimaru.

With status and power equal to the Sannin and no mentor-mentee relationship, he simply used the name directly.

"I've come to fulfill a transaction, and I have a new deal to propose. I wonder if Yōichi-kun might be interested."

Orochimaru, smiling, then formed hand seals, and in the next second, purple patterns emerged on his body, his face resembling a demonic mask.
