When Yugito attempted to sneak out, Yoichi had already noticed. He allowed her to interact with the two Cloud ninjas to help Yugito come to terms with her situation.
"Just go back to sleep. If you bother me again over such matters, be prepared to part ways with the Tailed Beast."
Yugito's face turned pale upon hearing this; she knew well what parting with the Tailed Beast meant—extracting it from her body, which would result in her death as the Jinchūriki.
Her own village's attempt to kill her just moments ago made her feel utterly abandoned. Although Yoichi had warned her about the Cloud's possible betrayal, facing the reality was still unbelievable.
"What are you still doing standing there? Hurry back."
Yoichi called from a distance. Hearing this, Yugito quickly jogged back to him. However, as she approached, she noticed something odd about the space between Yoichi's legs, which, coupled with the female voice she had heard earlier, made her face turn red and she awkwardly looked away, mumbling, "Pervert..."
Yoichi, catching her reaction, glanced at Yugito. Did she think it was someone else's doing that made him leave his bed? If not for those two damnable Cloud ninjas and her, he would still be resting.
Mina hadn't returned, and Mikoto was almost ready to move in here permanently, although that wasn't really feasible. She still had to be cautious.
But using a transformation technique to sneak around was no issue. Yoichi had chosen this location for its seclusion, precisely because it was undisturbed.
Upon returning, Mikoto sleepily asked, "What's wrong, Yoichi-kun?"
"Nothing, just go to sleep, Mikoto."
Yoichi comforted her, then stripped off his clothes and prepared to go back to bed. However, the interruption by the Cloud ninjas had robbed him of his sleepiness.
And Mikoto, trying to find a comfortable position in his arms, inadvertently stoked his desires again, leading to an awakening that startled her awake.
"Yoichi-kun, it's too late~"
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
The night resounded once more with activity.
Downstairs, Yugito had just laid down to try and settle her nerves after the day's shocking events, only to hear the creaking of a bed above.
'Didn't he say he was going to sleep? What a big pervert!!!'
Yugito pulled the covers over her head, trying to force herself to sleep. However, the evening's events weighed heavily on her, leaving her scared and alone.
The next day.
Though Mikoto was exhausted from the previous night, she got up early and, using a transformation technique to avoid others, returned to Yoichi's former residence to freshen up and catch some more sleep.
Yoichi checked on the two men from last night; the second was dead, his neck broken. The first, though still alive, had only passed out from his injuries.
"He's lucky to be alive."
Knowing these men were Cloud envoys, Yoichi did not hesitate in his actions.
After calling some members of the police force, he had the dead body sent to the interrogation department and the injured man treated before being detained. Uchiha then headed to the Hokage Building.
After reporting the incident to the Third Hokage, who twitched his mouth and stopped smoking his pipe, the Third said, "I understand, Yoichi-kun. Since they didn't intend to negotiate properly, there's no need to treat them as envoys."
Hiruzen tapped his pipe, indicating his agreement. If the Cloud had succeeded in killing the Two-Tails Jinchūriki, they might not even stick to the agreement.
"I know. I'll hand over the living one to the interrogation team later."
"And about the Two-Tails Jinchūriki..."
"Don't worry, Lord Hokage. After today's incident, Yugito is even more disillusioned with the Cloud Village. There's a ninety percent chance she'll become a shinobi of Konoha now."
Yoichi explained, "The Cloud Village are fools. They tried to kill their own shinobi, and now, not only did they fail, but they've also made Yugito despise them. I wasn't sure how to make her renounce her Cloud identity, but the Cloud Village has really helped out a lot."
"Is that so? Well, that might indeed be a good thing."
Hiruzen was momentarily speechless, suspecting Yoichi was mocking someone. Fortunately, Danzo wasn't there.
"If there's nothing else, then I'll be going, Lord Third."
"Yes, thank you for your efforts, Yoichi-kun."
After Uchiha Yoichi left, Hiruzen couldn't help but feel uneasy. He couldn't openly oppose Yoichi now, especially since he had activated the Mangekyo Sharingan and could match the strength of an Eight-Tails Jinchūriki, not to mention his growing influence over the Uchiha clan.
Without solid evidence of a major mistake, even his title as the Third Hokage seemed inadequate.
Even if he directly demanded the Two-Tails Jinchūriki, he was sure Yoichi had plenty of reasons to refuse, such as detaining her under the authority granted to the police force by the Second Hokage, indeed intended for detaining dangerous individuals from hostile villages.
And with the ongoing war, if the front lines tightened or other villages launched major offensives, Konoha would still need the Uchiha clan.
———
In the following days, Yoichi spent his days discussing serious matters with Mikoto, whose gaming revenue was soaring, necessitating investment. Thus, Yoichi chose several industries for Mikoto to invest in or acquire outright.
By night, he and Mikoto would be physically active, although Mikoto's ordinary constitution struggled to cope with Yoichi's demands over several consecutive days, leading her to plead for a day's rest in between.
Initially, Mikoto harbored a desire to monopolize Yoichi, aware of another young girl, Mina, around him. However, after spending time with Yoichi, she realized how deeply he cherished her, wishing they could be together day and night.
Thus, Mikoto harbored a small hope to possess Yoichi all to herself, dreaming of bearing him a son named Sasuke, just like in her dreams.
But Mikoto was mistaken. While Yoichi was indeed captivated by her as in her dreams, she simply couldn't keep up with him physically. After two days, she needed a significant rest period, or else she couldn't even walk.
After these days together, Mikoto came to terms with the fact that monopolizing Yoichi was impossible. If she couldn't satisfy him even after marriage, she wouldn't be fulfilling her duties as a wife.
Besides strengthening his relationship with Mikoto, Yoichi also focused on his training.
While Mikoto busied herself with official matters, Yoichi would retreat to the basement to absorb chakra from a Star Stone.
Having absorbed so much chakra from the Star Stone, even Godzilla had evolved significantly, growing larger and establishing a stronger bond with Yoichi.
Chakra links to the mind, and while Godzilla was physically strong, its mental strength was average. However, Yoichi, having activated the Mangekyo and possessing strong Yin chakra, felt a growing connection.
Now, as Yoichi and Godzilla's link deepened, Godzilla gradually came under his control. Once Godzilla evolved into its fourth form, Yoichi would be able to wield its power without any constraints.
During these days of absorbing chakra from the Star Stone, Yoichi felt his visual prowess fully recover and even improve slightly.
However, he also sensed that the energy contained in the Star Stone was diminishing. He was absorbing more chakra from the stone than the Star Ninja Village did in a hundred years, as they dared not extract its energy as recklessly as he did.
Yugito had been much more subdued these past few days, staying at Yoichi's home and even taking up chores, showing increasing disillusionment with the Cloud Village.
Faced with a village that would kill its own, Yugito couldn't easily forget such betrayal. In light of her recent behavior, Yoichi improved her living conditions and even allowed her some freedom in the courtyard.
Upon hearing this, Yugito's demeanor eased slightly, though she still showed disdain for Yoichi and would mutter 'H' under her breath when she thought he couldn't hear. (For the 'uncultured' ones, it means ecchi, which means pervert)
Soon, the day of the clan meeting arrived.
This was no small event for the Uchiha clan, and Yoichi had already discussed his plans with Kenji. Masato and Yokogawa, along with other militant upper-rank Shinobi, were well aware of what was expected at this clan meeting.
They were all eager, for the position of clan head represented the face of the clan. Rather than letting Fugaku continue as head, they preferred Yoichi, known throughout the ninja world, to take over.
"Mikoto, aren't you going?"
"I'd better not. I don't know how to face Fugaku, sorry, Yoichi-kun."
After some thought, Mikoto shook her head; although she could attend the meeting, the thought of possibly being exposed to Fugaku about her affair with Yoichi made her want to avoid him.
However, Mikoto also anticipated what might happen and, after fixing Yoichi's clothes, she hesitated before saying, "Yoichi-kun, you don't think something will happen tonight, do you?"
"It's just a clan meeting, of course, nothing will happen. You think people will die?"
Yoichi reassured her with a smile: "Don't worry, I'm leaving now. Just keep an eye on Yugito for me."
With that, Yoichi stepped out. As he reached the street corner, many were already waiting for him.
Masato, Yokogawa, and others from the militant faction were all present.
"Yoichi-kun, let's go."
"Alright, let's head out."
Together, the group made their way to Naka Shrine. Counting heads, about three hundred people had arrived.
While all clan ninjas could attend this significant biannual clan meeting, over two hundred were stationed outside the village, and fifty were needed for police patrols.
Another hundred, like Mikoto, preferred to skip the meeting and simply wait to hear about the outcomes, which is why only so many attended.
But gathering over three hundred ninjas was still significant, and every time the Uchiha clan held such a large meeting, it put the village leaders on high alert.
Three hundred gathered ninjas, especially from a clan designated as unstable by the Second Hokage, meant that Hiruzen could hardly sleep, having dispatched numerous Anbu to surround Naka Shrine.
Fortunately, the shrine had a large main hall near Naka River, an open-air structure. The Uchiha ninjas arriving there instinctively formed three circles based on their ranks.
The clan head and elders took the foremost position, followed by the Jōnin, then the Chūnin behind the Jōnin, and finally, the Genin.
As people continued to arrive and settle down, the appointed time arrived, and everyone was seated.
Silence fell over the hall, so profound that one could hear their neighbor's breathing.
Kenji broke the silence: "Clan head, you start."
"Alright, but I'm not going to beat around the bush tonight. I might have a lot to say, but it's all trivial and can be saved for the next clan meeting without any impact. So tonight, we're here for one thing only."
Fugaku's voice was firm, clear enough for even the Genin seated at the back to hear.
Yoichi and others like Kenji looked at Fugaku in surprise, guessing what he was about to declare.
"Tonight, we may need to choose a new clan head. Isn't that right, Yoichi?"
As Fugaku's words fell, nearly every clan member turned their gaze towards Yoichi.
Hearing the clan head's statement, everyone except those already privy to this matter was shocked. Did Yoichi, also aspire to be the clan head?
"Indeed, I believe I would be a better clan head than you."
Yoichi openly acknowledged: "I can provide for our clan, I can give our people confidence, and I am confident that I can make the Uchiha name the strongest in the shinobi world. Therefore, I should be the head of the Uchiha clan."
Hearing Yoichi's words, all attendees began to ponder.
Many suddenly found his argument reasonable. The Uchiha welfare system, the fame of the Leaf's Fang, the only Uchiha to activate the Mangekyo—it seemed quite fitting for him to be the clan head.
"I understand. I may be weaker than you in other aspects, but if you want me to relinquish my position as clan head, you'll have to convince me with your strength."
With that, Fugaku's pupils transformed instantly, the three tomoe merging and shifting into a completely unfamiliar Sharingan pattern.
Kenji and Yokogawa among others were stunned by the sight. They hadn't expected Fugaku to have awakened this level of power as well.
The Mangekyo Sharingan.

"Quickly report to Lord Hokage that the Uchiha clan seems to be planning to elect a new clan head. The contenders are Yoichi and Fugaku."
Upon hearing this news, an Anbu operative immediately sent someone to report to Lord Hokage. This was crucial information, especially involving Yoichi, whom Lord Hokage had personally instructed to be closely monitored.
The Anbu's actions did not concern the Uchiha within the main hall; they were accustomed to being watched by the Anbu during their major clan meetings.
At this moment, the Uchiha clan members inside were more focused on the impending events within the hall.
"Fugaku, you've also awakened the Mangekyo Sharingan?"
Kenji couldn't contain his surprise. In his view, Fugaku wasn't supposed to have the talent necessary to awaken such power, thinking his abilities had peaked upon becoming clan head.
"Yes, thanks to Yoichi-kun, I was able to attain this god-like power, though the cost of acquiring it was substantial!"
As Fugaku spoke, the pattern in his Mangekyo Sharingan shifted subtly; he had also awakened two types of Dōjutsu and, after hosting these in each eye, even Susanoo was now at his disposal.
While he hadn't used it yet, Fugaku felt ready to activate it at any moment.
"Now, the only candidates for clan head are you and me, and we are also the only ones in the clan with the Mangekyo Sharingan. Why don't we decide the true clan head through combat?"
Fugaku proposed, his gaze unwavering as he looked directly at Yoichi; this was his way of seeking revenge through battle.
"Fine, let's settle it in the forest to the east of the Death Forest, to avoid making too much noise."
Yoichi suggested, pinpointing a location outside the barrier. He had suspected Fugaku's confidence stemmed from the Mangekyo Sharingan, but he hadn't expected the affair with Mikoto to trigger its awakening.
"Fugaku, Yoichi, both of you are exceptional ninjas of the Uchiha clan. There's no need..."
The senior elder tried to interject with a word of caution but was cut off by Fugaku.
"Elder, there's no need for words. Today, a decisive battle between me and Yoichi is inevitable."
Yoichi agreed, "That's right, all Genin and Chūnin stay back, half the Jōnin maintain order, and inform Konoha of the situation. The rest will witness this duel."
With that, he gestured for Fugaku to follow him out, and they both left for the designated area.
Seeing the duel was unavoidable and potentially dangerous, the great elder turned to Kenji, "Kenji, won't you say something? It's been ages since our clan had two Mangekyo Sharingan users at once, you..."
"It's no use. We are old now. No one can stop them."
Kenji understood the gravity of the situation and addressed the great elder, "Let's go. No matter who wins, with a Mangekyo Sharingan leader, the Uchiha will rise to greatness again."
As Yoichi's instructions were followed, people split up to report to Konoha, and ten Uchiha Jōnin followed them, including six from Uchiha Fugaku's faction.
Twelve people, including two elders, witnessed this battle for the clan head.
After they left the Konoha barrier, the barrier team logged their exit, and Yokogawa reported the internal spar to the village, as it was protocol to notify when so many were leaving the village barrier, especially to engage in combat.
——
Yoichi and Fugaku arrived one after the other at the destined site for their clash, near the Valley of the End.
On an open plain, there was ample space for their battle.
"The Uchiha clan's strength lies in the eyes—shuriken, ninjutsu, genjutsu, Dōjutsu. Fugaku, are you ready?"
Boom! Boom!
Fugaku uncrossed his arms, releasing the seals on his wrist seals and grabbing shuriken and kunai in each hand.
He immediately threw them at Yoichi, whose shuriken and kunai were difficult to see in the dark, especially since Uchiha throwing techniques could alter their trajectory upon collision.
"Heh."
Yoichi chuckled lightly. As Fugaku released his armory seals, he also pulled out shuriken and kunai from his pouch, throwing them at Fugaku almost simultaneously.
Clang, clang, clang...
In the dark, a dense barrage of shuriken clanged together, the sound as intense as raindrops in a storm.
Both wielders of the Sharingan moved their eyes swiftly, tracking each shuriken with precision while considering their flight and collision paths, challenging their dynamic vision.
The elders and other Uchiha Jōnin who had come to watch were internally alarmed, silently praying for the side they favored.
Such intense shuriken exchanges left no room for error; a single mistake could lead to a relentless assault.
Soon, more spectators arrived. The elders nodded in acknowledgment but knew it was not the time for greetings.
Hiruzen and Homura observed without interrupting the combatants, quietly watching the scene.
The combatants soon exhausted their shuriken, as ninjas couldn't possibly carry hundreds with them. Each had a similar amount, though Fugaku had a few extra. Eventually, Yoichi caught two of Fugaku's shuriken by the hole in the center and tossed them back.
"Almost evenly matched."
An elder whispered, careful not to disturb the fighters. The display was impressive; even his Sharingan struggled to track every shuriken in the darkness, but the two combatants saw everything clearly.
After the shuriken exchange, both Fugaku and Yoichi formed seals almost simultaneously, preparing for a ninjutsu showdown.
Masato frowned slightly, "Why is Yoichi-kun a bit slow?"
Although brief, it was noticeable.
"He's waiting to counter Fugaku's techniques with the same ninjutsu," whispered Kenji, noting Yoichi's confidence. He had avoided using his best taijutsu, which would have ended the battle more swiftly in his favor.
However, delaying even a second in ninjutsu could allow the opponent to gain the upper hand.
"What's that?"
Observers from afar, lacking the Sharingan, couldn't see the chakra fluctuations in Yoichi.
After completing their seals, an intense surge of chakra erupted from Yoichi, reminiscent of a volcanic eruption.
"Fire Release: Great Fire Annihilation!"
"Fire Release: Great Fire Annihilation!"
Two immense torrents of flame, capable of incinerating everything, burst forth, painting the dark night with fiery red hues.
When the flames collided, they exploded outward.
Even without the Sharingan, it was clear to the onlookers that Yoichi's Fire Release was significantly stronger than Fugaku's—by a considerable margin.
'Not good!'
Fugaku felt a surge of alarm. If his Great Fire Annihilation spanned about ten meters, then Yoichi's engulfed thirty or forty meters.
His flames were quickly swallowed up and, carrying his own fire, surged towards him.
There was no time to dodge; the range was too wide, and the power too immense. Fugaku, who didn't know Water Release, made a snap decision, his eyes' three tomoe quickly transforming into the Mangekyo Sharingan.
Whoosh! Whoosh!
A waterfall-like surge of water appeared suddenly, extinguishing Uchiha Yoichi's overwhelming flames.
"Water Release?"
Not just Uchiha Yoichi, but even the elders and other onlookers were stunned; they remembered Fugaku didn't know Water Release.
"It's not Water Release!"
Yoichi recognized the power of Uchiha Fugaku's Mangekyo Sharingan and declared confidently, "It's one of your Dōjutsu abilities, isn't it? Capable of creating Water Release... well, not exactly creating, but similar to the Izanagi technique."
"Kamui of Reversal: capable of transforming the illusions I create into real phenomena, making it impossible to discern whether they are illusions or reality!"
Fugaku, continuing to refine chakra, announced, "With this Dōjutsu, I am invincible!"
Boom!
Lightning struck from the sky, but when it hit Yoichi, it disappeared instantly—it was an illusion.
Bang! Bang!
Spikes of earth shot up from the ground near Yoichi, aiming for his abdomen, but were shattered the next second by a layer of lightning armor that suddenly enveloped him.
Yoichi had already unraveled the earlier lightning illusion.
"Impressive Dōjutsu. The earlier earth spikes were just like real Earth Release, and that waterfall... So, you can use your Dōjutsu to release any ninjutsu, and they are all non-seal techniques."
Yoichi quickly understood the capabilities of Kamui of Reversal. What made it truly formidable wasn't just the instant release of non-seal techniques but its similarity to Yin-Yang Release: given sufficient Dōjutsu power, it could create anything.
"This is just the beginning!"
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The ground around Yoichi trembled violently, then large walls of earth rose like clamps, attempting to crush him in the middle.
"Earth Release from the Stone Village?"
Lord Third, observing from a distance, was shocked to see Fugaku use a technique he hadn't known before—a high-level Earth Release.
Yoichi, however, braced against the massive walls with a powerful electric armor. Although the Earth Release was strong, it was ineffective against his lightning armor.
The walls didn't close completely, stopping just as they left a narrow gap, seemingly to lock Yoichi precisely in place.
Seeing this alignment, Yoichi's face contorted in exaggerated panic, "Oh no!"
"It's too late. Try my other Dōjutsu—Amaterasu!"
Fugaku's right Mangekyo spun, blood trickling from the corner as he focused. Suddenly, a black flame appeared.
But instead of hitting Yoichi's head as intended, it was blocked by his hand.
"Ah!"
Hearing a scream, Fugaku panted, "Heh, the flames of Amaterasu burn anything to ash and never extinguish. Though it didn't hit your head, your arm is done. You've lost this battle!"
"Oh, so I've lost?"
Yoichi's pained expression suddenly cleared, replaced by calmness and even a slight smile.
Then, he shook his arm, unable to rid it of the clinging black fire, and remarked, "Fugaku, your two Dōjutsu are indeed formidable. But you shouldn't have rushed to confront me just after awakening the Mangekyo."
"For instance, Amaterasu—if I shed the burned flesh, wouldn't it be harmless?"
Saying this, Yoichi conjured a chakra blade with his left hand and, with a swift motion, sliced off the flesh engulfed by the black flames.
Such ruthlessness made Fugaku shudder, but he tried to remain composed, "Your right arm is already ruined. What will you use now?"
His words were cut short as he saw Yoichi's right arm rapidly regenerating. In just five seconds, what looked nearly skeletal was fully restored, seemingly unaffected by any damage.
Creation of All Things: focusing his vision can restore life.
Yoichi had wanted to test this new Dōjutsu, which is why he hadn't dodged Amaterasu. Now, it seemed to work quite well.
"You... Is that your Mangekyo technique?"
Fugaku's voice was tinged with despair. Even combining his two Dōjutsu hadn't subdued Uchiha Yoichi, and that was without Yoichi using his renowned taijutsu or sword techniques.
"What's next?"
"Next, it's time for the final move. I've no interest in dragging this out, Fugaku."
As Yoichi spoke, immense chakra surged from him, quickly forming bones, muscles, and armor, evolving into a sixty-meter-tall complete Susanoo form.
With wings and a sword at its waist, the deep blue chakra armor under the night sky looked divine, with Yoichi stationed at the head of the colossal Susanoo, towering over Fugaku.
"Now it's your turn, Uchiha Fugaku!"
