"Let's stop here. I've pretty much grasped your strength. That'll be it for today. Rest up well, and we'll pick up the mission tomorrow," Yoichi signaled to Kakashi after ceasing their sparring. After five days of training together, he felt he had a good understanding of Kakashi's abilities.
Kakashi demonstrated proficiency in Lightning Release and Earth Release ninjutsu. His primary combat technique was the Hatake Sword Art, and his coordination between ninjutsu was commendable. His control over split-second moments during combat was also impressive.
This level of strength was respectable among chuunin and would make for a reliable ally on missions.
Yoichi hadn't slacked off either these past few days. In addition to perfecting his swordsmanship and Lightning Release chakra mode, he had also been honing his proficiency in the Sharingan genjutsu.
Naturally, Kakashi served as his sparring partner.
Kakashi had a decent understanding of genjutsu and knew how to defend against and dispel them. However, he found himself somewhat helpless against Yoichi's Sharingan genjutsu these past few days.
Though Yoichi had only mastered two Sharingan genjutsu techniques so far, they posed several times more difficulty for Kakashi to handle than before.
Kakashi couldn't meet Yoichi's Sharingan gaze directly and had to be wary of his line of sight, making it extremely uncomfortable for him to deal with.
After falling victim to Yoichi's Sharingan genjutsu four or five times, Kakashi refused to engage in sparring with Yoichi anymore. Once caught in the Sharingan genjutsu, he found it nearly impossible to break free, and Kakashi had already lost five or six times.
"What time do we gather tomorrow?" asked Kakashi.
"Nine o'clock, at the Hokage Tower!"
"Got it. I'll head back for today then."
After bidding farewell, Kakashi departed.
Yoichi also left. The matter with the Root had fizzled out after his visit to the Elder, as it seemed he had resolved it.
Rumors in the village had significantly decreased as well. The Uchiha Police Force had arrested over a dozen individuals who were spreading the most malicious rumors and had posted notices detailing their dissemination of rumors about Yoichi.
To ordinary people, they were meaningless in the presence of shinobi, especially Uchiha with their Sharingan, capable of easily discerning one's inner thoughts through genjutsu.
The rumors had died down, but Yoichi's reputation had taken a slight hit. When Yoichi walked the streets, he could see fear in the eyes of the common folk.
But to Yoichi, the Uchiha clan had no need for the admiration of these villagers.
Those who wield power should be revered by the common folk. What qualifications did a group of people who could only survive under the protection of shinobi have to disrespect the Uchiha clan?
Never tasted the iron fist of the Police Force, huh!
As for who would practice the Lightning Release chakra mode, Yoichi couldn't care less. Training in this ninjutsu was incredibly difficult, almost on par with the difficulty of mastering the Gentle Fist, requiring the release of chakra from most of the body's major acupuncture points.
Yoichi's chakra ninja sword had also been delivered. However, it wasn't Uchiha Kanrin who delivered it but Uchiha Masato.
It seemed the Elder had taken charge of all matters, hence why his son was sent to deliver the sword.
The chakra ninja sword was excellently crafted, infused with some conductive minerals, making it both durable and capable of conducting chakra. With just a bit of chakra attached, Yoichi could unleash a dazzling display of lightning on the blade.
Yoichi named this chakra ninja sword 'Raiden', somewhat reminiscent of one of the Seven Ninja Swords of the Mist, but he didn't mind. (T/N: I love Metal Gear!)
In the end the fame of a weapon ultimately depended on its wielder.

The next day, both of them arrived at the Hokage Tower at nearly the same time and proceeded inside after exchanging greetings.
Upon reaching the mission desk, the people inside looked uneasy upon seeing Yoichi.
Especially Sakaguchi, who had his two ribs broken by Yoichi last time. He had spent several days in the hospital recovering. Afterward, he learned that Yoichi hadn't faced any punishment. Instead, those who spread rumors were caught by the Police Force and harshly punished.
This filled Sakaguchi with extreme anger. His friend died in Yoichi's squad, and he had his two ribs broken by Yoichi. He could even be arrested by the Police Force for merely speaking ill of Yoichi.
Now, seeing Yoichi, Sakaguchi's eyes held both resentment and fear, and he was afraid that Yoichi might attack him again.
"Take the missions. B-rank, assassination missions are prioritized. Personnel: Uchiha Yoichi and Hatake Kakashi."
Yoichi glanced at Sakaguchi and didn't pay him any further attention, instead approaching a nearby mission desk ninja.
The ninja, upon regaining his senses after Yoichi addressed him, hurriedly said, "Wait a moment, let me check for you."
"There are quite a few B-rank missions available, with some being assassination missions. You can choose from these."
Yoichi took a look and noted that there were still plenty of assassination requests for Konoha, and B-rank missions already involved shinobi, as indicated on the mission briefings.
"I'll take this one and this one. Please record them."
"You want to take two B-rank missions?"
"That's correct. Please record them."
"This doesn't seem to be in line with regulations. I need to consult with the Hokage."
The mission desk ninja looked troubled. Seeing Yoichi's lack of reaction, he stood up and headed towards the Hokage's office.
Seeing this, Kakashi approached and whispered, "Why don't we just take one mission for now? It's safer."
"No need. These two missions are conveniently located in the Land of Grass and the Land of Earth. Taking them separately would waste an additional seven or eight days on travel."
Kakashi gave him a deadpan look. His team leader showed no concern about the possibility of mission failure, only thinking about saving time.
Nevertheless, one involved a minister from the Land of Grass, while the other was an undercover agent from Iwagakure. At first glance, the missions didn't seem too difficult.
After a while, the ninja returned to the mission desk. He informed Yoichi and Kakashi, "The Hokage has approved it. I'll process them for you."

Hidden Base in the Depths of Konoha
This was Root's headquarters. When it was established, Danzo proclaimed it to be the Root that nourished and protected Konoha, hence why even the base was built underground.
"Leaving the village? Hmph, it's hard to make a move within Konoha, but once you're outside..."
A cold glint flashed in Danzo's eyes. Uchiha Kenji, that old fool, was protecting Yoichi, preventing Root from taking action within the village. But outside the village...
"Lord Danzo, Hatake Kakashi and Uchiha Yoichi are teaming up. If we were to take action..."
"Who said we're going to take action? That wicked Uchiha has been practicing the cloud shinobi's secret technique. With Raikage's foul temper, do you think he'll let this slide?"
"Is Lord Danzo suggesting..."
"Sell the information to Kumogakure and have a Root team follow behind. We'll provide the final support!"
Danzo tapped his cane and smirked. "With a 2 Tomes' Sharingan, a decent talent, but unfortunately unfit for Konoha's use."
(End of Chapter)
"Darn it, why would a cloud ninjutsu appear on a Leaf shinobi? Who leaked it out!?"
Upon hearing the report from his subordinate, the Third Raikage asked angrily. Although he wasn't so temperamental as to smash the table in the room, his demeanor was enough to unsettle those around him.
"We've already tasked the ANBU to investigate all the high-ranking ninjas capable of using Lightning Release Chakra Mode. I believe we'll have results soon."
After speaking, the Raikage's assistant brought a cup of tea to the table. "Please have some tea."
In the Village Hidden in the Clouds, there weren't many cloud ninjas capable of using Lightning Release Chakra Mode. Not only was this ninjutsu difficult to master, but it also required loyalty. It was a technique created by the Second Raikage and gained fame in the ninja world under the Second and Third Raikage's usage.
Mastering this technique would essentially put one on par with the Raikage, as long as they could surpass the Third Raikage's son.
Shortly after, the ANBU from the Cloud Village returned with information. A high-ranking ninja from the Hidden Leaf, Osai, had confessed voluntarily. He had lost a scroll containing the Lightning Release Chakra Mode.
However, he completely forgot when he lost it. Nevertheless, Osai vaguely remembered a certain Uchiha from Konoha, Yoichi. It seemed that half a year ago, while Osai was on an S-rank mission, he encountered a team from Konoha.
"So, Osai lost the Lightning Release Chakra Mode during that time?"
"I'm not sure, but it should be around that time, Lord Raikage. We've questioned the two teams who were on missions at that time, but they couldn't recall anything."
"They couldn't remember? Were they under genjutsu?"
"It's unclear. However, it's difficult to make those two teams fall under genjutsu. Besides losing a scroll of ninjutsu, Osai didn't suffer any other losses except for the mission failure."
After hearing the results of the ANBU's investigation, everyone in the Raikage's office fell into contemplation and confusion.
It was highly probable that Osai was the one who lost the Lightning Release Chakra Mode, but it was certainly orchestrated by their enemies.
The future Fourth Raikage couldn't comprehend these convoluted matters. He then spoke out loudly, "Father, let's directly inform Konoha. Let them hand over the Lightning Release Chakra Mode, and then we can go and kill that Uchiha ninja who's practicing it."
The Third Raikage said solemnly, "Do you know how many people from Konoha have mastered our village's techniques? What's the use of getting it back now?"
"No matter how many of them have mastered it, they are our enemies. Once discovered, we chase them to the end, even if it's the Third Hokage!"
As he spoke, Ai exclaimed, "As long as we scare them off, let the Konoha ninjas know that practicing the Cloud Village's secret ninjutsu means death, they won't dare to practice it!"
It was indeed a straightforward approach.
However, the Third Raikage thought it was a feasible method. So he said to his son, "Alright, I approve. Saidei, you go and inform Konoha, as Ai suggested earlier. Ai, you and Osai team up and eliminate the Uchiha ninja who has already mastered the Lightning Release Chakra Mode."
"Let them know that the Cloud Village is not to be trifled with!"
"Yes, Father!" (Lord Raikage)
After receiving the order, the Cloud Village sprang into action.
In terms of military strength, the Cloud Village was undoubtedly the strongest among the Five Great Shinobi Villages. Even if other threats were disregarded, in a head-to-head confrontation with two other villages, only the Stone Village could barely match the Cloud Village.
However, the Cloud Village had a bad reputation. Most of its villagers were martial-oriented. Initially, the Second Raikage was considered a half-peaceful leader, which was only because they couldn't defeat the Second Hokage in war.
However, during peace talks, the Second Raikage was eliminated by the martial faction in the village.
Plundering secret techniques and pillaging villages were traditions of the Cloud Village. Anything advantageous to them would be seized upon; although there was no clear evidence, the downfall of the Land of Whirlpools might be related to the Cloud Village.
At that time, except for Konoha, the sealing methods of tailed beasts in various villages were rudimentary.
But after some time, the Cloud Village suddenly mastered the perfect Jinchuriki training method, which inevitably raised suspicions.
Accustomed to being overbearing, even if the Third Raikage knew that those who leaked information to them had ill intentions, he couldn't be bothered to think about it.
Anyone who dared to stick their head out would be killed; that was the mindset of the Third Raikage.

[Random Summoning]: Gain the opportunity to summon a monster from another world every day. It may be capable of destroying the world, or it may not even be able to defeat a baby. You only have thirty minutes to tame it. If not completed within the time limit, it will automatically return to its original world.
"At last, I can speak!"
Yoichi removed his metal mask. Nearly a month of continuously wanting to speak the truth almost broke his jaw against the metal mask.
"Let's go, Kakashi!"
Upon hearing this, Kakashi, who was beside him, glanced at Yoichi with his dead-fish eyes and asked, "Captain, did your throat suddenly heal?"
Yoichi waved his hand and said, "That's not important, Kakashi. You'll gain a lot being with me. I hope you won't give up halfway through!"
"I'll try my best, Captain."
Then, the two continued on their way.
Their first mission target was in the Land of Grass, which would take them a day to reach.
While traveling, Yoichi carefully studied his new ability.
Being able to randomly summon a creature from another world, it may be strong or weak, and with only a chance to tame them; however, according to the instructions, if he summoned a creature capable of destroying the heavens and earth, he might be wiped out himself without being able to tame it.
If he summoned a weak one, even taming it would be of no use. He might end up checking if the creature's meat was tasty.
But in terms of taming creatures, Yoichi could only think of the Ninja World's Summoning Technique, which would be more convenient.
Aside from the Summoning Technique, he couldn't forcefully tame them with iron chains.
"Kakashi, where can I buy a Summoning Scroll? Does the Ninja Tools Store in Konoha sell them?"
Kakashi rolled his eyes and said helplessly, "These are made by ninjas themselves. Unless the shop owner of the Ninja Tools Store is a ninja who specializes in making such scrolls, but if you want to tame summoned beasts, it's better to make them yourself."
"So, I have to learn the Summoning Technique?"
"That's right."
"Do you know it?"
Kakashi nodded, "If you want to learn, it's best to prepare the scroll first. Summoning Scrolls aren't difficult; the difficulty lies in taming the summoned beasts."
The Summoning Technique wasn't difficult at all. Although it was classified as a C-rank ninjutsu, even a lower-ranking ninja could learn it seriously after a period of time.
By the time Yoichi refreshed his power, he had already left Konoha, otherwise, he could have consulted the Elder and learned this ninjutsu.
Fortunately, Kakashi knew it too. He had already made one and contracted with the ninja hounds at home. Although their combat power was average, in terms of tracking people, they weren't inferior to the Inuzuka clan's ninja hounds.
After arriving in the Land of Grass, Yoichi requested Kakashi to teach him the Summoning Technique first before completing the mission.
He was accustomed to making preparations first, so he wouldn't have to scratch his head when the need arose.
