Chapter 28: The Revelation (2)

For one moment, everything stood still. The air seemed to stagnate, as if time itself had frozen, and Aylin could not believe the beauty that stood in front of her. There was no way the woman before her was human or paranormal, as the beauty level here was too high. Who was this woman?

Nox glanced down at her mate, a knowing smile on her face. She had been mesmerised, and she still was, but she could now confidently say that her mate was prettier. After all, beauty is often in the eye of the beholder, so the adage goes.

Aylin blinked herself out of the stupor, embarrassed that she had been mesmerized by another woman while her mate was present. She needed to do some serious self-reflection shortly, to avoid another instance such as this one. However, one could surely understand her predicament.
