Despite Sasuke's tendency to get slapped in the face when showing off, it was undeniable that growing up to his level, even with his clan's broken lineage, made him a true genius.
Moreover, Sasuke's mindset was relatively normal compared to this world, although he was ultimately 'awakened' by Naruto. His journey of defection, growth, and revenge was satisfying to witness.
"If properly nurtured, Sasuke can definitely overpower Naruto," Kyomu thought silently, standing on tiptoe and looking towards the delivery room.
Soon, Tsunade came out holding baby Sasuke.
"Tsunade, how is Sasuke?"
"The situation is a bit worrying," Tsunade said seriously.
"Hmm?" Kyomu raised an eyebrow. "Didn't Rin say Sasuke is a super genius?"
"He is indeed a super genius. After all, who has seen an Uchiha born with a single tomoe Sharingan?"
"What?!" Even Fugaku was stunned. "Born with a single tomoe Sharingan?!"
"That's right, born with a single tomoe," Tsunade's expression grew more serious. "Although it's relatively good news, it could also be bad news for Sasuke. As we all know, the nature of the Sharingan requires a strong spiritual power. I'm worried Sasuke's body can't handle it."
"Worse yet... Sasuke is at high risk of developing Kekkei Genkai disease."
"Kekkei Genkai disease? That's impossible. Our Uchiha clan's Sharingan is stable. There's no record of our clan's ninja ever having such a disease," Fugaku shook his head, finding Tsunade's diagnosis hard to believe.
"I'll know more after a detailed examination," Tsunade said, carrying the sleeping Sasuke into the special care ward.
After Tsunade left with Sasuke, Fugaku immediately rushed into the delivery room, now more worried about Mikoto.
Itachi wanted to follow but decided to stop, standing in front of Rin. "Rin-nee, can you tell me more about my brother's condition?"
Rin hesitated, then seeing Kyomu's questioning gaze, began to explain slowly.
"A normal newborn wouldn't open their eyes immediately, but after crying, Sasuke opened his eyes, revealing a single tomoe Sharingan. But he soon fell into a coma, clearly unable to handle the strain of his opened Sharingan. Tsunade-sensei deduced that baby Sasuke's spiritual power and yin chakra are extremely strong."
"Isn't that a good thing?" Itachi questioned. "Strong spiritual power and yin chakra benefit the Sharingan greatly."
"Each situation is different," Kyomu interjected, drawing both Itachi and Rin's attention.
Sighing, Kyomu continued, "Yin and yang must be balanced for optimal health. But achieving this balance is incredibly difficult. For example, the Uchiha's yin chakra often exceeds yang chakra by several times, because their Sharingan requires a lot of yin chakra to activate.
However, if there is too much... the Sharingan may awaken prematurely, indicating a strong talent like Sasuke's, but it also poses a problem."
Shisui seemed to understand, nodding as he spoke, "Teacher, is it that the excess yin chakra compresses the space for yang chakra, causing Sasuke's body to lack the nourishment from yang chakra, potentially leading to premature aging or other health issues?"
Kyomu nodded, "Exactly. A person's body is like a bottle; the younger the child, the smaller the bottle and the less it can hold. Clearly, Sasuke's body is filled mostly with yin chakra, with very little yang chakra, which could affect his health."
"If it goes wrong, there's a real chance of the condition Tsunade described. Kekkei Genkai disease isn't just a genetic disorder but also a genius's ailment. The stronger and earlier the awakening of the Kekkei Genkai, the more it suppresses the body's other developments, leading to such conditions."
Listening to Kyomu's analysis, Itachi lowered his head, then looked up with determination in his eyes.
"Ryūkage-sama, no matter the cost, I will save my brother. Please find a way, I beg you!"
Before Itachi could kneel, Kyomu quickly stopped him. "Wait for Tsunade's examination results, Itachi."
Itachi nodded, but the worry in his eyes deepened.
A while later, Fugaku emerged from the delivery room, supporting Mikoto.
Yes, supporting.
With medical ninjutsu, a kunoichi's body recovers quickly after childbirth, except for the initial risk. Mikoto, although pale, seemed to be in good shape otherwise.
"Ryūkage-sama, how is Sasuke?" Mikoto asked urgently.
"Wait for Tsunade's examination results," Kyomu pointed to the nearby ward. "Fugaku, take your wife to rest. I'll notify you once we have results."
Fugaku nodded. Though Mikoto was still worried, Fugaku supported her to the ward.
The corridor fell silent as they awaited Tsunade's results.
After more than half an hour, the door to the special care ward finally opened, and Tsunade, wiping sweat from her brow, stepped out.
"Sis, how is he?"
"He's at his limit, really at his limit," Tsunade said with lingering fear. "The situation I feared didn't happen. Sasuke's yin chakra is incredibly strong, pushing his yang chakra into a tiny corner. Any more yin chakra, and he would have been born with Kekkei Genkai disease. Any less, and he wouldn't have awakened his Sharingan at birth."
Smiling gently, Tsunade added, "Sasuke is a super genius, perfectly balanced, as if it were calculated."
Calculated? Kyomu's heart skipped a beat, filing this information away.
"Sis, does Sasuke need any special care?" he asked, feigning nonchalance.
"Treat him normally," Tsunade placed Sasuke next to Mikoto. "But be careful not to let him activate his Sharingan again before he's six. His body might not withstand the strain."
With this advice, Tsunade prepared to leave. As Mikoto began breastfeeding Sasuke, Kyomu and the others quietly exited the ward.
"Yugito, Mei, handle the administrative tasks. I need to discuss something with Fugaku."
Nodding, Yugito and Mei left, and Kyomu and Fugaku remained.
"Congratulations on the birth of your prodigy, Fugaku."
"Thank you, Ryūkage-sama," Fugaku laughed heartily. A son born with a single tomoe Sharingan brought great pride to him.
Looking at Kyomu, Fugaku realized he had more to say.
"Fugaku, while Sasuke is indeed a super genius, the extreme imbalance of yin and yang chakras in his body worries me," Kyomu said gravely. "We can't always suppress his growth rate; it might lead to rebellion."
Fugaku's smile faded as he nodded, agreeing with Kyomu. "You're right. I'm also worried, but without a better solution, we'll have to nurture Sasuke slowly and explain everything to him as he matures."
Kyomu shook his head. "There's a better way."
"What way?" Fugaku asked eagerly, grabbing Kyomu's hand. "Ryūkage-sama, please tell me. The Uchiha clan will do anything."
Clearly, Fugaku cared deeply for Sasuke, seeing him as the clan's bright future.
"Kurama," Kyomu said simply. "If Sasuke absorbs Kurama's yang chakra, his body will balance the missing yang chakra, possibly even awakening the Rinnegan."
Fugaku was immediately tempted, unable to suppress the thought.
Kyomu guessed at Hagoromo's plans, feeling disdain for his trickery.
"But Sasuke will always be loyal to me, trained according to my plans," Kyomu thought.
Naruto, on the other hand, would benefit more from Kurama's yin chakra, balancing his own yin and yang chakras.
When the time came, a pair of Sharingan might elevate Naruto to the Sage of Six Paths level, granting him the Rinnegan.
"Impressive, Hagoromo," Kyomu thought. "Truly cunning."
"Ryūkage-sama, isn't the Nine-Tails Jinchūriki due next month?" Fugaku asked quickly. "I can cooperate with the Akatsuki."
"It's best if you don't act openly," Kyomu refused Fugaku's proposal. "Let Nagato handle it. He might not appreciate our help."
Fugaku wanted to argue, but Kyomu cut him off. "Fugaku, I have a plan. Wait for my signal. Focus on nurturing Sasuke's health with Rin and Tsunade's help."
Nodding, Fugaku agreed, asking no more.
Leaving Fugaku, Kyomu didn't return to the office but went to the Anbu's medical research lab, where Tsunade was.
"Sis."
"Hey, little brother, decided to visit me?" Tsunade glanced at him. "Not with your secretaries?"
"I wanted to ask about Zetsu's body," Kyomu said, getting to the point.
Tsunade became serious. "We've made progress. Nonō's abilities are impressive, and Kabuto is smart."
Kyomu smiled encouragingly at Kabuto. If trained well, his abilities could rival Orochimaru's, at least his intelligence.
"Sis, can we use Zetsu's cells for prosthetics?"
"We can, but full-body transplants for Obito are still far off," Tsunade said, troubled. "Cultivating Zetsu's cells requires a lot of yang chakra."
"Yugito can help. And I meant the prosthetics for Nagato."
"Him?!" Tsunade was puzzled. "Kyomu, what are you planning? Nagato? Are you crazy?"
"No, just strengthening a certain group," Kyomu shook his head. "Even a fully restored Nagato is within my control."
Betraying allies? Kyomu never made such foolish moves. Confident, he planned to gift Nagato a costly 'free' favor.
"As long as you know what you're doing. Will Nagato agree?"
"He will."
"Should we add safeguards?" Tsunade suggested.
Smiling, Kyomu and Tsunade exchanged knowing looks.
