It was early in the morning and the sun had just risen and right now all I could hear was the annoying sound of a crow.
"Caw Caw-"
Hearing nothing but a cawing crow for hours would make a normal man go insane, but I was different I was respectful so I did the only logical solution.
PUUCHI!!-
"Damn bird..."
I threw my dagger with piece of rope tied to it's handle and killed it, I got multiple looks from the surrounding people on their ships bu Ignored them.
Right now I was waiting at the Summer Company Port along with multiple ships that had many reasons to be here from Etris ships refiling on supplies or fishing and whaling ships docking port.
'And here I thought traffic wouldn't be a problem.'
The reason for the ship traffic was the summer company going in each ship asking for identification and searching the cargo for anything illegal, thankfully most of the ships weren't full blown frigates and mostly sloops like mine or schooners.
I of course had my papers on my sack as Maestro had always said since apparently these summer company workers took identification seriously, especially here in the summer isles I had already witnessed an apparent Ignition Union ship get destroyed by explosive barrels and the soldiers being captured and sent to interrogation.
"Next!"
On que my sloop was pulled closer to the docks and was boarded by two Summer Company soldiers, they were both Etreans one began looking through my crates before placing a green sticker on each of them.
"Papers please."
"Here you go."
I handed him a booklet containing a well drawn picture of me my name and age and my occupation and everything they needed.
"Joseph, No last name. 19 Vigil Guard reason of visit?"
"Just stocking up on supplies and looking to purchase a gun."
"Hmm alright, we'll take your sloop to be berth in the back please step out."
I complied and took a ticket they had given me before stepping into the docks, I honestly loved how militarized this place was I let them take my sloop as I made my way to the shipwright who was writing something down on a clipboard.
"Ah how are you, what can I do for you mate?"
"Looking to upgrade my sloop with some metal plates"
"Hmm, a sloop eh? 100 notes I'll be done by noon give me your ticket."
I handed him my ticket before he wrote down it's number before giving it back to me, I also have him the 100 notes leaving me with 400 in my pouch after a bit more questioning I was able to head out towards the main set of stairs leading to to the summer isles fortress. But I was stopped in another checkpoint.
"What's in the sack."
"Pirate loot I'm going to sell, is there a problem?"
"Show me."
Sighing I placed my sack down opening it letting them see it's contents which was all the firearms I got from the pirates including their braces and metal boots.
"Alright you can go, just don't go causing any trouble already have enough of that from those damn Navae Monks."
I nodded before passing by him finally climbing up a set of stairs passing by the sailors bringing crates down or Summer Company newbies pacing up and down the stairs as some sort of early morning routine.
"Time to get some self defense weapons."
[The Tale Of Tides]
The Summer Company is a faction that operates in their fortified island, the Summer Isle in The Aratel Sea. they are a merchant Company that are the Deepwoken world's chief supplier of firearms.
The word Berth is basically similar to docking or parking a ship.
I'm making the world more diverse and realistic since it wouldn't make sense for it to be really empty in a real world environment.
[The Tale Of Tides]
"Fish get yer fish!"
"Genuine Diver gear right here folks get them while they're here!"
Unlike the game the summer isles was more bigger than I expected, normally after going up the main stairs you would turn to the main building but instead there was actually quite a big market place up here.
I could see multiple merchants selling goods from all over the world I even saw someone selling Northern Luminant Snow Gear which I noticed was just Winter Corps gear painted differently.
I even had to stop a street child from taking my pouch, but after all that I was finally in the main building that and currently haggling for a cheaper gun.
"Lowest I'd go is 200 brat."
"That's basically highway robbery!, throw in a few bullets at least!"
I had gotten 300 notes from the loot I had just sold and now had 600 in total, but I wasn't gonna spend 200 notes on a single revolver and apparently the only reason they were expensive was due to a gun permit.
"Fine! 200 notes with twenty bullets!"
I accepted his offer by signing my signature on a piece of paper before he stamped it with the summer company logo before handing the gun to me with a pouch of bullets and a gunpowder bag along with the gun permit.
"I hope you accidentally shoot off your toe you brat!"
Ignoring the Gunsmiths words I made my way out of the building passing by the passed out drunks who probably had a party last night before making my way to the inn nearby to get some food to eat as I had three more hours before my sloop was ready.
But as I made my way to the inn I noticed how there was a bat in the distance looking at me, but strangely instead of going after me it went towards a different direction.
"Odd."
I ignored it and was about to make my way to the inn before remembering a crucial detail, the inn was on a different small island and the only way was to cross was via boat which mine was currently being upgraded and or a glider.
"Guess I'll settle for street food"
