Chapter 323: The ‘After investigation ’

While Keon was worried about the safety of Ariana, Mateo was rushing to investigate this matter. He stepped out of the Nelson mansion, closely followed by Penny who was looking at him with an upset expression. 

"Where are you going, Matt? I thought that you were going to escort me to the ball!?" Penny was an inch away from shrilly shrieking and the only reason she held herself back was because people were looking at her and Mateo. 

She didn't wish to show her true face in front of so many people who took her as a kind, demure and gentle woman.

However, even with her mask strapped in place, Penny was finding it challenging to suppress her anger.

How could Mateo leave in the middle of the party just like this? What would others think if they saw her alone? Would they not think that Penny was not treated as well as she pretended and showed off?
