Chapter 93: Morning At Boyfriend's House

Meanwhile, Carissa, at her office, was surprised by how David had hung up. She called him again. David entered his car, answering the call, and she asked why he hung up.

He apologized, saying, "I mistakenly called you instead of someone else."

She nodded, "I'll be leaving the office before you return. I need to do something urgent."

He nodded, giving her permission. Carissa thanked him and hung up, then cleared up her desk, hung her bag, and left the company.

Later in the evening, Carissa was combing Angelina's hair, apologizing for not coming to pick her up. Angelina said, "It's okay, Mommy. My new friend kept me company anyway."

Intrigued, Carissa asked, "Who's your new friend?"

Angelina said, "Mr. Mallory," causing Carissa to stop combing her hair. 

A smile formed on her lips as she said, "David Mallory?"
