Daisy studied Carissa's expression, waiting for her response but got none. Noticing the impact of her words, Daisy persisted. "Carissa, you never cease to amaze me. You spent the entire night with David when you should have been with your daughter..."

Almost shouting, Carissa interjected, "Stop it, he's my man again. You speak as if he's a complete stranger. We have a history and he's..." She lowered her voice and glanced around cautiously before whispering, "he's my daughter's father. We're going to be a family."

"Really? Are you not rushing things? Letting him casually use you for sex like a lustful animal, all the while manipulating you, is that what you truly want?"

"No, we have an understanding, and...we're just trying to reconnect after being apart for six years. And what about Angelina? Are you just using her to cover up your ulterior motives?"
