She fell right into Denzel's arms, and he was not too worried, knowing it was a result of the shock of seeing her father in one piece or the punishment she was going to face for her distrust in him.

Slapping her cheeks gently, he called after her. "Val, wake up. You owe me a punishment, so don't try to escape it. It won't work." Ashley chuckled, not having the slightest understanding of Denzel's personality.
