Chapter 77: A Dazzle of Confusion

*Kiara's POV* 

"Shadrach." I gasped in shock. "What are you doing? Have you gone mad?" 

"I needed to talk to you." He whispered loudly,pulling his body up the window.

Yes,that's a thing. He attempted to make his voice low, but it was loud enough to get me in a considerable amount of trouble.

"I'm not supposed to meet men or anyone from my court. This is a double-offense. They might cut your head off...or mine,or both." I started blabbering as he came towards me.

"I will die a thousand times just to see you one last time."

I cringed.

"I don't know how Adriel will feel if he finds out that you were here."

Shadrach's eyes flashed with something inhumane. "Since when did that man's feelings become a priority?"

"He's about to be my husband." I justified. "I must at least show him some common respect."

"Then what's the point of the whole contract thing?"
